well, here she is. The knife is larger than my Becks. This is the first time I have had them side by side. I didn’t use the original as a basis for the pattern because it would have restricted my simpler interpretation.
Anyway, I still have to mark the knife and make the sheath but all in all I say this is a knife anyone would like banging around in the bush with:thumbup:

Knife is made from 0-1 steel and Natural Micarta and feels great in the hand!!!

Thanks for looking fellas, I thought you would enjoy the pictures :)

That would get the job done for sure!

That is one sweet looking knife. You are one lucky dude.

This one isnt mine once the logo is on and I stitch the sheath up this weekend.......off to the customer in a couple weeks.

Here is my outdoor chopper. I dont carry it much but when I go camping, this gets firewood and other camp chores done pretty easily :)

thanks,
The blue handled on helped cleared out a small shooting lane I use some behind my dads house and was clearing trees like no ones business!!

One of my pet peves is lack of a curved butt so I dont really swing without fear of loosing the knife. So thats why the exagerated curve on that large one.

Also, I like that the beck was the insparation for the natural handled micarta one and I have been fortunate to talk to David BEck a couple of times, and his knife ws my first custom knife, before I was evenmaking knives. It took me 3 years to even get the nerve to try my take on his design.

My way of saying Thanks David:thumbup::D:thumbup:

Beautiful! I'd love to make a thigh rig for that!

I REALLY like the blue scales on that chopper. All the knives in this thread are great, though.

I love the look of your knives, the un-ground part below the blade, the shape of the slabs, the pommel, (sigh...)

I like that outdoor chopper. what steel did you use? what blade stock? mind sharing the price for something like that but with a few tweaks?

Cool pattern! Looks like you can choke up on the handle for fine work and back up for a chopping swing :)
