My thoughts on deep carry pocket clips

I tried different knives again- in pocket I still prefer regular clip but a deep carry is not so bad.

Iwb regular clip all the way- I have a hard time gripping the knife on the draw with a deep carry clip.

I wish I could get a regular clip for my zt 0566...

I can take em or leave em. I would assume that a deep carry clip is less apt for the knife to come out of the pocket and get lost though. When i carry a knife with a clip i stuff it down in a pocket like a regular knife without a clip because at work i have ruined several nice knives from the clip snagging on machinery and me not noticing and they got bent into oblivion. And at home i do the same cause I'm a klutz with leather furniture :rolleyes:
 
Another reason... the knives I carry are so huge that a deep carry clip isn't feasible.
 
How many have actually used a knife in a defensive situation? I have been carrying a knife with me since the early 1970's and have only needed a knife once to defend myself. I live in Los Angeles and used to spend much of my time in some bad areas....Lynwood, Wittier, Compton, Long Beach, Bell Gardens, Hawaiian Gardens, East Los, etc. Personally I think a a gun or a bat would be far better then a pocket knife.

Even in the one event I had, I think a knife is a poor choice for defense for the majority of people. Unless you are trained and practice constantly, you will probably end up injured or dead.

Personally I could care less if it is deep or not.
