My thoughts on the Calfskin Pouch.

The wear on the pouch looks great. I had the following made since I was to lazy to make my own calf skin pouch.

It still has a long way to go but I carry the pouch clipped into my jeans with the belt clip going under my belt. When I buy my Mnandi I will get a CRK pouch. This is not calf skin. Went with something softer since it would be against my body the entire day.

I'm waiting for my pouch to arrive for my Mnandi before it sees too much pocket carry. It is just too light plus the edge of the clip tends to snag on things which causes the knife to get drug out of my pocket.
 
Yesterday I decided that I was going to carry my small insingo in the pouch. I will update this in a month or so with before and after shots.
 
My Small 21 and it's pouch are getting more intimate too, the pouch is great for keeping the open back & blade edge safe from keys and coins. Makes for more discreet carry too.

I recently started to love the CRK pouches. I never used them after losing my Mnandi mammoth Ivory in a small CRK pooch. The pouch fits the knife terribly. I was sitting on a sofa and the Mnandi fell right out of the loose fitting pouch. Lucky for me my mother sat on my Mnandi (she didn't get cut.) Maybe it's just the pouch.
I have been carrying my small Sebenza in a CRK pouch after getting up the courage to give it a whirl again and I am glad I did. I am not sure if I will ever clip another CRK to my pocket agin. I am FEARFUL of having it get snagged and lost. This has happened to me before with 2 Spyderco's.
Plus I feel it is much easier to navigate through my pocket if I am searching for something. The nice supple leather does eel nice rubbing on my hand.
 
I am curious, would the Large Sebenza fit (even if it is a tight one) in the small pouch?
 
Yes. The large will fit in the small pouch but about 1" of the large Sebenza will stick out. I actually like the way the large fits in the small pouch. Much more snug.
 
i have the calfskin pouches for all of my sebenzas. I really enjoy using pouch, i just feel i need a longer lanyard for more efficient deployment.

To the OP, where did you get your lanyards?
 
After losing my beloved small classic Sebenza this week I'm also thinking about how key the pouch is. I may sell off a few knives so I can pick up another small Seb but I will not be clipping it to my pocket again!
 
OK.... great news tonight! I found my Sebenza!!! Must have hooked it with something when I was changing clothes because it was behind the bed. :D

This morning when I read your post I prayed you would find it.

See it worked, Now loose the pocket clip & put it in a leather slip pouch. ;););)

 
I recently had my Sebenza get pulled out of my pocket on a girls belt loop. Maybe a leather pouch would be a good idea...

Found this not so old thread. I have been carrying my small Sebenza in one of the small calfskin pouches for a couple of months. It has conformed real well to the shape of the knife in that I always put it back in the same way, and I don't have the clip on it. My follow-up question is if anyone can post a pic of their pouch which is at least over a year old or more. I am curious how they look after a year or more in the pocket. The pics already posted seem all to be recent. I really like carrying it this way.
 
I bought a small sebenza with bloodwood inlays from CRK and was pleasantly surprised when it came with a calfskin pouch.
I didn't think I'd use it but I quickly began using it all the time. It compliments the elegance and simplicity of the sebenza and functions perfectly and protects the inlays from getting marked up.
I wish that someone would make a double calfskin type of pouch for those of us who edc a sebenza and small flashlight.
