My thoughts on the Calfskin Pouch.

When did CRK go from the Tan pouch to the Brown one?
My MM Classic came with the Tan, but my Annuals all have the darker leather.

If someone has some Tan pouches, I'd like to make a trade.

Steve, I use 'em because it helps keep pocket lint and crud out of the lock. :thumbup:

I know this is an ancient thread but can anyone post a pic of a large sebenza in a small sebenza pouch? I would like to see what it looks like.

Not the best picture, but you get the idea. It does not fit well. 😀



Never cared for the calfskin pouch, personally. I recently acquired a custom, full grain leather pocket sheath for my Mnandi. Love it. Will probably have a couple Sebenza pouches made as well.

Thanks for the picture Anarchy. I heard that a large fits tighter in the small pouch. But too much sticking out for my liking.

Can you tell me which maker you are using for your custom pouches?

Thanks, retention is really good. I carry it in my back pocket every day at work with no worries. Way safer than a clipped sebenza in the back pocket imo.

The slip holds onto the knife quite nicely, it requires a little shake in the upside down position to get the knife out.
 
These pouches really do justice for the CRK folders. My 21L rides in one and its very comfortable and slim in the pocket. I wish that all CRK folders comes with pouches.

That's a good question, I hope someone answers!

I just got my first small 21 (CGG Mediterranean, very cool, love it!) and plan on carrying it in the calfskin pouch. I want to leave the clip on; has anyone had the clip wear thru the pouch?
