My turn on the knifemaking TV show

Hey Jason, nice showing man. I hope you had as much fun as I did. Also, thanks for breaking the cycle of who posts announcements in customs :D I didn't have the guts to ;)

Nice job Jason, it was my favorite episode yet.
What happens to the knives and weapons made on the show?

Rats.. I was rooting for you Jason.

When you were at your home Forge and did the quench, you mentioned that the section closest to the handle was a little soft and the rest was hard. Was that the part that got you?

Yes sir, that was exactly it. They didn’t show me fighting for literally an hour trying to get the temperature right. Forge just wasn’t long enough.

You did a fine job and should be very proud of how this things went, I thought your addition of the Damascus would have put you in the Winners Circle.

It looked like your competitors second attempt was all stock removal?

It was not. They framed it that way on the episode, but he forge welded the socket to the rest of the piece. I believe the entire head was stock removal, but I don't have an issue with the way it all went down.

That was suspenseful and fun. Spicy Mike (?) is the least confident winner I've ever seen. But.... he was last man standing.

Good job, Jason, and great composure. A pro.

Terrific job Jason, enjoyable episode and very nice pieces. I did not see this thread until after, but was able to find on DirectTV on demand.

I gotta say, that was a really entertaining episode. Glad to finally be able to watch it, and sorry I missed the first couple seasons

For we people without cable , does there exist a YouTube link for S5 E26 that has the show and no signing up to see it?

no full episodes, youtube takes em down pretty fast. Your best bet without cable is to use methods that involve "Bits" and "Torrents" :)

i've gotten the entire series that way. Woulda gladly bought it, but they never released it on disc, and the only option is amazon digital copies. so its on them for people finding other means.
