MYB DECEMBER: Rolling into the 2nd Month of the Spartans! Now with EXTRA challenge!

5 miles today, plus 1 mile yesterday brings my monthly total to 15 miles. Walking/jogging more than I have in a very long time!

Finally got out again yesterday for a 35 mile ride. Cold and breezy, but at least the sun was shining.

11.6+29=40.6 halfway through the month.

Went out this morning for a ride....totally misgauged the weather, turned my hands into blocks of ice for the last 15 miles or so. Was actually afraid I wouldn't be able to brake effectively if I had to. Thermometer said 38°F when I left, but I was like, "well that thing is in the shade, and it's supposed to warm up, and I don't want to be overdressed...." so I grabbed a vest. Shoulda grabbed the whole damned jacket, plus the REAL gloves, yadda yadda. Sucks when you're three towns away from home and realize your decision making process left a little something to be desired. Plus, hard to push it when that just means increasing the wind chill factor and making your hands even colder......

Still toughed it out, 33 miles, managing 17.8 mph avg.....had a decent tailwind on the trip south. Not so much going home.

11+40.6=51.6 BP TTD.

Just signed up for a little 5k on Thanksgiving morning.
Spent this evening cleaning the house so no actual walk (iPhone says I went 5 miles today, but that includes this morning's walk.)

Gonna need to kick it in gear else I'll get my butt kicked in 2 weeks!

Hit the pool this evening for the first time in....I don't remember. 1600m, pretty much killed my chances of doing push-ups tonight.

4+51.6=55.6

Got out for a 14 mile MTB ride today....40°F and some rain at the end. Stood in the shower for a while longer than I should have after.

7+55.6=62.6 BP TTD.

@tjswarbrick: At least you're getting out there. I look at the number of points I have and laugh....I ride my bike a couple times a week and that's pretty much it. I work some long days otherwise, with a LOT of sitting on my ass stuck in traffic. No one I know would say that I was in shape, and I wouldn't lay claim to it, either. Just keep on keepin' on, brother. You're here.

Got out for a ride today; 35 miles. Pretty close to the same temp, too, at about 38°F. Getting harder and harder to find the motivation at these temps. We'll see.

11.6+62.6=74.2 BP TTD.

Walked 1.75 miles last night.
The Turkey Trot was only a 5k, but between that, parking, and trying to find the company tent I walked over 7 miles this morning.
I'm thankful that my wife joined me.
Also thankful for my health - we went at a good clip but I felt I had a lot more to give.

15.25 + 1.75 + 7 = 24 BP TTD.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Went for a long walk tonight, as I didn't get out today while the sun was out :(. Stayed home with my sick little one while the out-laws (and everyone else) went out. Weird to be out walking on a late November evening, in NH, in shorts and a t-shirt and sweating into my backpack. VERY weird.

4+74.2=78.2

1.5 mile walk Friday.
2.5 miles Saturday.

24 + 1.5 + 2.5 = 28 BPs so far.

Normal weather for a 33 mile ride, so.....37°F. Cold. Still, had the avg. HR up to 161 for an hour and a half or so. I guess this'll be it for November....think I'm just gonna roll this thread into a new one with a title change for ease of use.

11+78.2=89.2 BP for November.
