Myright Jr's first trip to the woods !!!

Nice pics. Looks like you had a great time.

My son and I (he just turned two) have spent many days tromping through the woods, first in a backpack/carrier and once he could walk well enough, on foot. It really makes you stop and smell the roses, not making lots of miles per day. Just a few acres at a toddler's pace opened my eyes to wildflowers, mushrooms, creepy crawlies and stuff like that. I hope to give my son an appreciation for the simple things in life like taking a walk with the family. It worked for me and my dad. I'm happy to pass on some nice memories.

Thanks for sharing your pics.

That's awesome! Great looking knife and family. Congrats!
Boys and girls are great in so many different ways. Just be glad you don't have three of each. Why do you think my 2 forum names are "mymindisamob" and "sprungnoggin". I guess it should have been "beenbreedin'":D.

Great pictures of the family and dog. How did you get her to learn to drink like that? My dogs just can't figure it out.

I guess we never really had to train her, she's just always drank like that. It's funny, because if we take a bowl along with us she won't drink out of it :) I think she just wants to be a person. :D

I can't wait till the day when he's able to walk for a bit on his own, but I am savoring the moments now. I'm sure there will be a lot of things that we notice when I'm on a toddler level and pace as compared to focusing on covering ground.

Your son's got a great dad for taking him out and enjoying nature - I plan to follow right along and get him out there all the time as well.

Take care.
