N.E.C.K.A. Hammer-In

Hey George! you Old Goat...check your list!!:D :p :p im sure you will be all set Ed,come on down!... cant wait till Saturday!:)

Ed: I got your message and your brother-in-law we have room for. I'll call you or the other way around. Talk to you soon.

IG you got anything to melt Brass in down there
I'd like to try a little of that Cable brass Damascus
while there.. :) and do you need any Chain saw blades
or chains????

Dan: No, I have nothing that would hold molting brass. I still have the chainsaw bars from the last time. We have 15 definites and 2 maybes for that hammer-in.

Well you are full, great news. Now when I tell you I cannot attend, you will not be disappointed. Just pissed for not having 20 more bucks for beer. Hope you guys have a great Hammer In.
Ken (wwjd)

Hope you got my check because I'm coming anyhow. Tell Dan I'm bringing beer also. Will bring a release from the Wife (heck, she wrote the check, ain't that enough?)

I'll bring some Rail Road spikes if any one wants to play with them.
Can get more if requested. Have about 6 right now, but I look for ones that aren't rusted bad, bent or reduced in size from corosion.

IG, You got some Heat Treating Relish for that pizza? That stuff will sort out the men from the boys in a hurry. It etches the cable damascus real fast too.

Paul... BEER...yes :D I'm making one of the other guys drive home:D
I brought some RR spikes down IG used them as legs on one of the forges.:)
Nice looking legs too :D the forges legs not IG's:D

cause George has some knobby A$$ knees:eek: :D :p :p
i don't care how much you drink...they don't get any prettier! hahaha

Joe: I have something else that I'll give thats knobby.
Paul: I'll take as many spike that you have. Like Dan said great legs for the forges. I still have a full quart of my HT relish, it is enough to wipe out Baghdad.
Ken: Your are P'ing on my leg again and telling me that it is raining.:D :D

I like my beer in bottles so I always bring some and enough to share.

I haven't seen IG's knees and don't think want to either. I have 8 spikes, if I can get more I will, those RR cops are getting faster or I'm getting older. When you take the time to be picky, your "exposure" time goes up. Working there is not an excuse. Heck, if they sold metal scraping rights on their right of way at a fair price, every one could ride free for about 20 years.

HT Relish for Bagdad? Only as a last resort, too dangerous, I always thought about 2 dozen Polish Grandmothers (the old world model, you know the 5' X 5' ones) with brooms would be overkill. Heck in 2 weeks they would all be wearing proper clothes and going to church every Sunday. One wack to the head with a broom and they would be begging for the Army to come back. Those old girls are tough.

OK IG, Picked up a few more spikes, You going into the forge making bussiness or what?

3 more days, YEEEEEEEEEEHA!

I'll try to get there by 9:00am, I've pitched tents in driving rain, so as long as the forge is hot and the beer cold. I'm OK. I'm on a second shift schedule so I don't know how getting up is going to be. Will have to call in "sick" from the road.

Haven't gotten a fool thing done in the shop this week so nothing to show. Got some spikes wire brushed and that spiral drill.

I'm starting to feel like it's almost Christmas.

Just got a call from the owner of T.U.S. Technologies he will be displaying his etching equipment and supplies. Also John Frankl (J.S.) will be doing the damascus presentation.

George:
They're announcing rain. Is this happening rain or shine? Let me know. I plan on driving part of the way on Friday night and getting a motel room then getting to your place early Sat. morning.

Marcel

the place is pretty much all cover up, canopy and an enclosed forging area... cant wait till Saturday!:D

IG and J,

I'm about half way between you two, Perhaps I can hook you two up.

I'm in NY about 20min. from Danbury CT. I will most likely be going to Cobbleskill NY in 2 weeks, I could just swing out further west and then head up north.

Just a thought.

Well, Guys the beer is on ice, the tarps are up and the propane is filled. The hell with the weather it is Hammer-in time Tomorrow.

Just got back home. Had a great time. Met some nice people and learned some neat things. Looking forward to doing it again in September. Hopefully the weather will cooperate better. Thanks George for your hospitality.

Marcel
