NAME THIS MODEL!

It was worth a shot Tim. Tell me, if there's no WINNER to this thing, what does that make everyone who enters? I'll give you all a hint, A _ _ _ _ _!
Good one Tim

Because after all, "What's in a name?"

(T.H. Is that same knife you showed TomW and I at the ECCKS?)

PhilL - I did hope for a free knife(maybe some of you do too, admit it! It's a darn beautiful knife!) but after visiting Herman's web site, I found out that a basic knife starts at US$1500. I don't think anyone with a saint mind would give away THAT much(I know i won't).....

But I think having a knife so beautiful that is named after your suggestion is a satisfaction in itself...at least for me. If i want a free knife, I'd design some and enter the contest Mike is having.

Thanks for the vote of support for the name BOB. It took me many long and sleepless nights to come up with a name so perfect and so insightful as BOB. It stands for "Big Old Blade" or "Bad Old Blade" or even "Blade of Badness" As you can see the possibilties are endless. In my acceptance speech that I have prepared I mention that none of this could have happened without your help. Once again thanks for your public support for the name BOB (which I'm having copywrited)
Bob: (the name this time not the other name)

How about naming it after a pointy-beaked bird of prey, like

Heron
Night Heron
Bittern
Egret

Herman Heron?

Or, in the free-flight division,

Tern (pretty and graceful, like the knife)

Little fish count as prey, after all, as much as the little furry critters that hawks and eagles snatch up.

And, in the realm of nocturnal funny-looking critically endangered prosimians with a remarkable long down-turned claw at the end of the middle finger, terribly deadly to little grubworms, we have the

Aye-Aye.

thanks to all who posted here! this was a very hard choice to make as so many good names came out and fit the knife design well. i really liked pteranadon, whispher, and lightning, but after much thought i think i will go with "icicle" though more of an ice cycle, so the winner is Llamedos!

PhilL, yes this is the same knife i had in new york.

i didnt intend for this to be a contest so to speak because there is no prize but i am lousy at thinking up names and you all came up with some great ones
smile.gif
there will be more new models to name this year so keep thinking

Thank you all again!
