Name your favorite blade purchases of 2011

I've had a good knife year . I bought five knives this year . One I resold , two ESEE Izula's that I'm liking , a Sykco 511 (that has not arrived yet) but by FAR my favorite for this year is the new Busse Basic 6 LE that I found for sale online . Yep , 2011's been good :D

It was a good year for me, so I'll go in order of fav.

1. Dark Earth, Flamed, stonewashed blade, Lego Strider SmF.
2. Strider Mini SJ75
3. Small Sebenza 21 ("best" knife outta the bunch)
4. Ranger Green, Stonewash, Stonewash Strider SnG CC.
5. Strider MFS
6. ESEE-3

Spyderco Para-Military 2. What a knife! I liked it so much I bought a second one within a week of getting the first.

It's been a good year for me to. I haven't bought as many this year as I have in the past but I am really happy with the ones that I did buy. Not sure which one I like best so I guess my stainless Delica 4 and my fingergrooved 110 are tied for first place. Second place would have to go to a 1973 Case half congress that I bought last spring. Super sweet little cutter that was built the year I was born. Honorably mentions for my Dozier folding hunter and Victorinox Ambassador.

Holy christ man. That is some kind of list. I would love to own an Epicenter. That Mayo is sweet too.

VERY sweet Bastid!

I would have to say one of my favorite purchases is one I got yesterday, a John W. Smith SD-3 with Lightning Strike carbon fiber scales. Another one that just came today, a Benchmade Adamas 275. This the type of folder I like to see BM produce, solid handful and some weight behind it! Another one is my Spyderco Vallotton, and Spyderco 92mm Citadel. A Boker Titan Defender to replace the one stolen from me in '09, was also a favorite purchase.:)

If I had to pick just one I'd go with the lamb splitter I picked up in Oct. It's about a hundred yrs. old and just an awesome tool for any kind of heavy chopping. Twelve inch blade 1/4" thick and surprisingly comfortable. It's just great!!

My top would be:
1) Emerson Persian Tactical Folder SF (it's in the mail, haven't gotten it yet)
2) Spyderco Massad Ayoob
3) Spyderco Yojimbo 2

if we are allowing customs we ordered but haven't received, i cannot wait for my camp cutlass by Allen Newberry (you can find his work here on BF)

Usually trade more than buy, in 2011:

Buck 112 Ecolite Ranger
Mercator K55K knife
Vic ALOX Soldier to replace one that I had lost
Stripped and polished blade CS Recon 1 with Triad lock
And 2 weeks ago I purchased a OKC RD-7 and it's exactly what I wanted, my favorite this year.
