  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

naming a knife.... help

I think it looks like a mini-Tanto.

Maybe you could call it the 'Seppuku utility' or just 'Seppuku' for short.

Funny, I was looking at your projects thread and was wondering what this was called.

Talon?

But Slim Jim is pretty hard to beat....

Slim Fin? (alluding to the B&T nature of it)

That is a good design. What is the blade length on that?

blades are usually 3 to 3.5 inches, with OAL from 6.76 to 7.75

the walnut one, to be exact, is 7 1/8 OAL with a blade length of 3.25 inches to the handle, 3 inches to the notch.

I love all these names- though some of them are making me want to do yet more styles of knives!!!

Mike- if you really, really want one..... :D :D

Yep, I'll probably need one of those in the near future, it's a great looking little blade:thumbup: I suppose I should sneak the blade that you are currently making for me into the house first;)...

dayhiker... I have knives I often call ultralight or light hikers. not sure if that's gonna end up confusing.

I'm really debating between slim jim and shrike right now, but I need to let Koyote Girl take a look at the thread and give input. She always sees what I'm missing.

Just remember, slim jim has a car stealing and beef snack association and the shrike...well.
