Nano oil Vs fluorinated grease.

I was using tuff glide before switching to nano oil and fluorinated grease. I like both better than tuff glide.

Grease is nothing more than oil with solid additives. Just like oil, there's a ton of grease out there that is optimized for different applications.

Depending on your pivot's tolerance, you may find certain greases make the pivot unreasonably tight. On my Sebbies, I've had good luck with just using oil. The Teflon-based grease I tried seems to get a bit gritty.

Another fan of Nano 10W. I do not dissasemble the knives - they are too new - but rather squirt a drop or two into the pivot area and open and close the blade a few times. Really facilitates the action.

If you do not disassemble the knife, you can back off the pivot screw a touch to increase the gap which will allow Nano-Oil to reach the pivot by capillary action,
then you can close and open the blade a few time and tap the knife in your hand after closing to pump the oil further in.
open and close a few times again then tighten pivot a little and again open and close a few times,
then do final torque, you should have a very tight blade with no to almost no tolerance and yet have a smooth action.
