Nassty is buying the beer .

It has been decades since I had a birch beer . I figured since we had a dream bar I can stock it with dreams . Is Moxie a brand of birch beer or a whole other kettle of fish ?

It's a whole other kettle, all right.:) Let's just say that it has an interesting aftertaste. Definitely one of those 'acquired tastes'. I lived up in the Boston area for about nine years after college. My friends and I would occasionally go to a burger / ice cream place called Chadwicks. I would get the Birch Beer most of the time I went; I only needed to try Moxie once. :p

Get some Macallan whisky and I'm on board.

Ah, a man after my own heart! No virtual bar is complete without some good Scotch, especially if there's talk of wearin' kilts.

Some good cognac and port would be nice as well. All go well with a fine cigar.

So Nasty, where's the virtual humidor going?:D

The Cubans are overrated. A nice Fuente will do me just fine...those are "Short Stories" you usually see me with.

The humidor will stay where it always has been...back in my broom closet.

That's your loss; it's a fine vice. Fuentes are indeed fine, but there are some Cubans that really are great. Padrons (Nicaragua) are nice as well.

The weather in NE Ohio is finally turning nice. Think I'll light up this weekend.

What is/are FOBs???
FOB == Fresh Off the Boat. Recent immigrant.

As for the bar, Black & Tans or neat tequila (but not both) for me, please.

The only thing better than Tequila is Mezcal . Ihave to confess it has been years since I had one or the other .A blond beer and a snifter of Grand Marnier . Maybe a game of Darts . As long as you don,t try to throw your glass and drink your darts .

There are many fine cigars...I like robustos, figurados and pyramids best. As for Tequila, I had some of the best I ever tasted when I was in Mexico...so smooth it went down like water.

What was it you said Kevin? Darts, a blond, a beer and a snifter of GM? Sounds like a great evening!

You have to be a native of Maine to actually enjoy Moxie.;) It is a pale imitation of what I remember it tasting like when I was young. I think they have tried to civilize it to make it appeal to those from away.
Nasty,
With all of this great beer you are stocking at the bar, do you have room for a pig roasting pit. We will need a good pig roast to go with this beer.:D
Nothing like a good pig roast to ring in the summer!!!

This thread has it all: beer, cigars, women, and a roasted pig. After all that I'm going to need some pot. I'm just saying.

Not inside any more...we moved it out back next to the horseshoe pit.

One of the regulars here kept wanting to show off his skills at firewalking and the others kept complaining when he'd take off his shoes.

BTW, we doubled the number of scoot parking slots too. This place has become more biker friendly.

I have to admit I,m a Captain Black sweets man . After you cigar guys quit cringing you may post your indignation. Most cigars just leave me pale . I do think there is one out there for me . I just have to put in the effort .
If you want to try something ? Try half Grand Marnier . half Southern Comfort in a snifter . I call them Grand and comfortable or a Southern Marnier . No matter what you call them you won,t hear them call you after a couple .

That sounds like a deadly good drink. Another one that's good, but death in a highball glass is a California root beer.
1 oz Kahlua
1 oz Galliano
2 oz club soda
1 oz cola
1 splash beer (not in all recipees)

Another sweet death-drink is a roasted, toasted almond -
0.75 oz. Amaretto
0.75 oz. Kahlua
0.75 oz. Cream
0.75 oz. Vodka

Memory Block aka Red Snapper
1 oz Crown
1 oz Amaretto
splash of cranberry

Shaken over ice, served as shots.

I,m fasting till tomorrow morning and you are giving me Hi-test ideas for drinks ? I can,t even have a coffee and now I,m dreaming of a baileys and coffee . Time to take the dog for a walk .
