National Knife Day--6 Exclusive Builds offered by Buck

Not yet. I received my 124 today. My 119 order had not shown any updates so I messaged Buck today. This is the reply I got: "There a few of the 0119BO27-B that had a QA problem so we are inspecting each before it goes out the door which has extended our lead time. I would expect your knife to ship anytime. We apologize for the delay." Since @Happy Hippo received his already, I am assuming mine is needing rework.

[Edited to add frown face.] :(😞

I must have gotten one that slipped by the inspection... the one I got is atrocious. The micarta handle is in a raw sanded condition, dull and dusty... not buffed at all. The leather spacers have sharp shoulders where it was "blended with the handle and pommel. Fortunate for me, I have the tools, supplies and the skills to fix everything, rather than doing the send it back and wait routine.

My 119 was just delivered, I’m so glad I was able to snag one of these. Thank you again revnewk revnewk for letting us know they were back in stock and @FranklinG for tagging me. I was out of town and would not have caught that.

That looks just a bit better than the one I received. Compare it to the other pics posted here and on Bucks website https://www.buckknives.com/product/119-special-knife-black-oxide-coated-clip-point/?sku=0119BO27-B. The leather spacers are unfinished, the micarta was not buffed out correctly (or not at all) after shaping, that's why it has those light areas... raw micarta.

You may want to contact Buck warranty. I did not go that route, as I have the supplies, tools and the know how to fix mine myself.

I appreciate that but I'm not unhappy with it. If I ever do want it polished, I can do like you said and tackle it myself. 👍
