National Knife Day--6 Exclusive Builds offered by Buck

I made the mistake of being sensible and just grabbed one of the Koa 110s while removing the 119 from my order. To make up for it I bought one of the Stealth Run Cocobolo 501s.

Yeah, I agree. They have Vanguard butts instead of the typical 119 butts.

Terrific ensemble there! That Colt 1911 doesn't look like a CCS product, who did the work? Does it have a front sight/

That wouldn't be a bad choice. Those 124s are big boy knives.

maybe this needs its own thread, but Id take a GCK over a 124 any day for modern usage. 124s are still fun to play around with, but GCK seem more practical. what you all think?

It's a Davidson's wholesaler exclusive Colt 1911 Heritage Edition 38 Super. The only thing I added were a pair of Ed Brown Cocobolo wood grips. It has a blade front sight, but in that photo it blends in with the Buck mat.

Thanks for the info. It's engraving is well/tastefully done, so I wasn't sure. Handsome 1911!

Received my fetish knife today (bottom knife). I'm a sucker for full size 110's with pocket clips.


Unfortunately this will be going back. They took way too much material off at the choil during sharpening for my liking. Hopefully just a reblade.

Not yet. I received my 124 today. My 119 order had not shown any updates so I messaged Buck today. This is the reply I got: "There a few of the 0119BO27-B that had a QA problem so we are inspecting each before it goes out the door which has extended our lead time. I would expect your knife to ship anytime. We apologize for the delay." Since H Happy Hippo received his already, I am assuming mine is needing rework.

My order status still shows "awaiting fulfillment" and no emails. Of course they are on a three-day weekend, so not hopeful for an update before tomorrow afternoon at the earliest.

We should be shipping out the 119's early next week. This model was built in 2 batches the first 100 passed QC and the second batch of 120 had an imperfection we didn't like before sending them out. You will receive a shipping notification as soon as we create a label.

got my 124 5160 in brass today. fine knife from a quick look over. opened it took.wuick look and took these pics and stuck it back in the box til I have more time to play with it.....
