We really do hold Spyderco to some very lofty standards. While aestetics are important, function is the strongest point. Everything manmade will have flaws whether you notice them or not. I think Spyderco provides a phenomenal balance of function, aestetics and price. These marks shouldn't cause a problem in the lifetime of the knife. However, it's great to see that Sal cares about his product enough to solve the mystery.
