Yeah, is bark is definitely worse than his bite. I've noticed that folks like him are a lot "tougher" behind a keyboard than they are in person. He could stand to take his meds and reconsider how his behavior reflects on his employer... if he actually works for them, seeing as how he lives in FL and Microtech is in a completely different state.

One does wonder if the more that Mr. Marfione rants on the interwebz, the more likely it would be that he would be classified as a limited public figure?

Reading his comments, that guy actually makes me embarrassed for Marfione.

That said, I think it would be highly entertaining if Mr. Allen was called upon in court:

"Mr. Allen, one more outburst and you will be found in contempt of court..."
"You're a tranny, Judge Fagget! Bring it on!"
"The prosecution rests, your Honour..."

Problem is, even if he doesn't he's been saying that stuff and claiming to be an employee in a thread where the company owners have both been active. If you don't distance yourself and your company from the guy, and whether this is fair or unfair, you're tacitly supporting what he has said.

Exactly. If they don't shut him up he speaks for them. Doesn't really change how I feel though.

Anyone know what the story is with suing his family members?

These things never go well... The worst part is several years back a blogger lost a case like this even though, IMO, review commentary is part and parcel of free speech.

Count me as another ex-FB user, don't miss it a whit.

I think actually they announced a plan to sue his son, but won't be able to put it into production until next year. So obviously Microtech couldn't resist taking their design and putting it on the market immediately. ;)
 
Why can't we talk about his character? We talk about the character of public figures all the time. Is it because he's not considered a public figure?
