Natural Bridge State Park Trip (Photo Heavy)

Some pretty awesome pictures there Warrior. I'd love to get into some country like that and do some hiking. That lizard is pretty cool looking. I looked it up and I think it is a Western Fence Lizard.

Thanks everyone.

Love the photos! Makes me homesick!! Only about another year and a half and I will be moving back to God's country!!
I forgot you were from Kentucky. Beautiful place man.

Awesome stuff brother, I think I could live there....
I would in a heart beat.

Did you eat at Miguel's???? And get some Ale 8?
Drove past it a few times, but no, we didn't. That place was packed every time we drove by. There were tents galore behind it. The cabin was only about a mile from there.

That is some beautiful country there. Great photos.

One thing, those Beckers are way too pretty. You haven't used and abused them enough yet. :-)

Charlie
Thanks. I hear ya. Have only used the 14 for food processing, and just got the 17.

Great stuff.

When I saw the title, thought it was the Natural Bridge here in VA.

Kentucky looks less commercial. Much better.
Oh great, now I'll have to go there too, thanks. :D

That looks to be the one, thanks.

Dubz I have no idea where Kentucky(spelling?) is, but damn it's pretty!
Haha. :D I drove all the way across Indiana on 64. Was wondering how close you were to there.

Looks like a really nice get away! Awesome scenery and great photos. Looks a wee bit different than North Dakota!
Cheers

Shoulda let me know Dubz, I'd have bought you a beer or 10.
I don't drink, but thank ya kindly just the same.

Thanks. We were in North Dakota a few years ago. We went to the Theodore Roosevelt National Park, aka the badlands.

Great photos Warrior, and a sweet cabin. Red River Gorge was where I started backpacking, I've spent many nights out there, but never in a cabin. I only went there once last summer, and I need to go back real soon. I was on Auxier Ridge one evening, watching the sunset, when a fox walked right by me, about 10 ft away. It was downwind and a few steps below me. That's why I call myself Foxx on these forums.
Glad you enjoyed your trip.

looks like a great time was had by all....I cant wait for the weekend weather to give us a chance to take in some scenery as well....great pics too Dubz.

Yep.

Been there, done that.

KY ain't so bad after all, is it?

Make sure you get some Ale 8 though. good stuff.

also, great thread.

I used to live in Lexington, KY so used to get down to the Red River Gorge a lot to hike and camp. Great place as seen personally and through your lens. Nice pics!

Miguels Pizza is good, but probably magnified by hunger from hiking, and/or climbing. Never warmed up to Ale 8 (A Late One), sorry, but the Bourbon's good!

Thanks guys.

Yeah, Lexington isn't too far at all. Maybe 50+ miles?

Wow. That is some damn fine country you were in there, my friend. I've never been through Kentucky, but it has now officially made it on my list of places to visit.

By the way, that is some excellent photography you've blessed us with. Nicely done!

Gorgeous country, thanks for sharing.

Is that, by any chance, where the ending fight scene in Last of the Mohicans was filmed? Looks awfully familiar to me. Or maybe I'm just crazy.

Thanks guys. No idea about where the fight scene was filmed, but love that movie though.

It was filmed in North Carolina. I know a guy that was one of the Indian "extras" in it.

Beat me to it Dubz and you're right as rain...:D

Great thread and pics.... enjoyed them and glad you enjoyed the trip.... pretty enough to film a movie there...
