just ordered the knives from smoky mountain. my dad was ok with it but concerned that i bought 5 knives at 1 time. he will get over it though =)

No love for the dogfish?

I have a Dogfish and I quite like it. Unfortunately CRKT can't do Kydex for crap. They would be better off to ship with cheap plastic sheaths than what they do.

The Buck Hartsook is pretty cool if you want something tiny.

I still think the Subcom is the best cheap production neck knife made though.

I've read good things about the K4 and will pick one up some time. The others are a little too tacticool for my taste.

The Emerson La Griffe is worth a look

i would be careful of wearing neck knives around the neck. i wear neck knives on my belt, i fear that wearing one around my neck is inviting injury, as some knives may slip or fall out of the sheath.

i never hear anyone kick out the nemesis arc-ally i have one and its rather nifty, great grip and and great design.

Idk how small you want but possible a spyderco ladybug, or salt 1 w/o the clip?

I'm waiting on My Izula, but I'm worried customs might screw me around with it coming into Canada.

Rat's are nice, but I would have looked into some of the BHK tiger stripe knives, kinda cooler looking then the Izula.

I have the Buck Kaala and a Blind Horse Small Tiger Knapp with the new style neck sheath.

I love the Buck Kaala. USA made, S30V Stainless, nice sheath and locks in nicely. I really picked it for the S30V because of the stainless-ness being it's a neck knife. A ton of knife for under $70 IMHO. I did replace the chain with para cord but I just don't like chain. Same on the Small Tiger Knapp.

The small Tiger Knapp is a great little knife but I carry it in my bug out bag as a back up more than anything. Not that it's an inferior knife at all but the Buck wins hands down for ergos and the stainless steel. I really like the Blind Horse though! If I were to buy another small Tiger Knapp I'd take a chance on the new Small Tiger Knapp with that new Snap Knapp sheath. It looks knid of fun!

Buck: (under $70)

Whoa! Reeek, that snap knapp is the ticket. At that price you cant go wrong. Yup, on my list now. I couldn't find anything on the website about steel used. Do you know?

I play guitar too (assuming you do)

Well, I'm what I call a three chord wonder, mostly strumming. However I haven't even picked one up in months. I had GAS (Guitar Acquisition Syndome) pretty bad there for a while. I guess now I have KAS. Ha!

Now, on the knapp - SWEET! Sawblade. I've always wanted a blade made out of a "blade". That's just too cool. Just makes it that much more special, unique. I like blades with bold character. I didn't look at the regular knapp page, just the snap knapp & it didn't list the steel. I'll surf the whole site later.

Thanks for the info.

p.s. At one time I had a Gibson acoustic I purchased new. Sold it - Dumbest F'ing thing I ever did.
