Definate show and tell material Dan.

Hey George, what are the specs. for the cutting comp. again- 2"x 10"x 15"? Looks like I'll be able to put something together for that. Finally got caught up on everything.
:D

J It's on the necka news letter.

Overall Length of Knife: Maximum fifteen (15) inches.
Blade Width: Maximum two (2) inches.
Blade Length: Maximum ten (10) inches from point to the beginning of either the guard, bolster or handle

I think my Blade is going to be to small :( but it's a whole different type of grind for me a progressive flat grind to a slight hollow grind done on an eight inch wheel. ;) very interesting at least. :)

Guys, don't forget the lanyard. It looks like I am not going to have a knife done to compete. :( :(

Dan: Haven't you ever heard about bring a knife to a gun fight???

IG, your too much....calm down....you'll scare away the guests...I'll be over in the AM tomorrow to help get ready for the hammerin and harden the anvil I made and modify the platen assembly I got from Rob Frink form my nearly finished grinder...or at least take a look at it and get some ideas. :D :D

 I just got a call that they are dropping the cement for the pad at 8:00 am tomorrow and I have nothing prepped. If any of you Dudes can make it early than 8:00am, please do. I'll be out in the back at dawn.

It looks like that Gary (wolf) Rua will not be able to attend due to the fact that his wife is in the hospital. She has be ill for some time now. Please say a prayer for her recovery.
Dan Gray, one of the guys that are coming down with you does forging, could you please ask him if he would like to do a demo or if anyone else would like to volunteer. Got the slab poured yesterday and just got to move the press, forges and anvils around today and tomorrow. This will allow better viewing of the demos. Still looks like 35 to 40 attendees.  I still can use help today or tomorrow. Holiday in MA. on Monday. :D

You talkin' bout this gun and knife fight, IG? :p

yes and that's almost as cool as watching the explosion inside a piston cylinder
when it fires, I watched a video at a Stihl service school once doing that
and you could see the difference in the firing when you lean and richen the carburetor. :)

IG, My comp. blew up! Would you please call me so I can get directions.
(203)-457-5591
Thanks
Mace

Looking forward to the hammer-in
