Necka Hammer-in

Seeing as I've only made a few hawks, I was hoping to watch Ray do his demo. I still wanna see Wulf's forging demo, too. Can't I demo how to screw up a blade...I'm much better at that. :D

I'll do whatever needs doing.

J. Ray lives in Oregon.  I'll ask Gary (Wolf) if he could do one, it's no big deal. We will have plenty of demo's going. :D
J. are you planning on bring Tess and Danny????

As for some ideas, I think everybody that saw Ray Richard do the hawk demo would agree that hawks were a hot topic.
Saw it on page 1 of this thread. I thought it was funny he'd be out from the west coast. I don't mind banging out a hawk or axe, I just figure folks would rather see someone who's done a bunch do it. Like I said I've got no problem helping out, I just thought maybe we could think of something I might be good at, good enough to demo anyway. Geez, now I gotta think real hard. ;) Like I said whatever, I can give you or Mike a call. I'm looking forward to finally letting Joe see our coll. piece, too. :D

J. I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself so don't think. :D You can just hang around the HI and look pretty. :barf:  OH!! BOY!! :p :D

Funny guy...that's what I've got Tess for. Don't know if she's coming or not yet though.

Oh look...I'm a knifemaker again...

Hey J, Keep in mind if you do do a demo you'll have to have one hand to hold a beer. All demo's at IG's are done with one hand.......... :D

If we use a funnel I can keep two hands free.........oh crud, I probably just gave George a new forging plan. :D

Ray: J. has had the pleasure of spending a few days at my shop and we managed to put a few Buds away while we were building his forge. Right J??? :D

Yep, that is why I drink so much because of Grasshoppa (Mike). You should of been here yesterday and seen what he pulled or should I say dropped. It was so bad that a kid going by in a car spit on him. :grumpy: :grumpy: :D And I am not kidding.

Grasshoppa went and visited Wolf (Gary Rua) at work yesterday. Wolf pickup this self-contained hydraulic unit for nothing. This suck has a 7 HP motor on it with a 30-gallon oil tank and is on wheels. It weights over 600#. So Wolf talked Grasshoppa into bring it over my house in his pickup truck. When we tried to unload this suck the plank that we were sliding it down on fell off the tailgate and the unit took a deep six off the pickup and landed on it’s side. Now we are trying to put this mother right side up and it keep sliding right in the middle of the street. Now no cars can come by and the remnants on the hurricane Jeanne lets go. It’s raining like a Mother and cars blowing their horn. So me being the nice calm guy that I am I start yelling at the dude blow his horn, I only called him an F’head and to stop blowing his f’g horn. We finally put a towrope on it and pull it to the curb. So when the dude is the car was going by he laid a good lunger on Grasshoppa. It took us a good hour to get that sucker upright.

1.Any suggestions are great. New demos are welcome as long as we can fit them in.
2. Volunteers for demos are needed.
3. Volunteers to so some of the behind the curtains work will be welcome too. Such as assembling the knives are demos are done. cleaning up the cable billets. cleaning up the pewter bolsters. soldering the guards etc. unless we have time then it would be great to fit these things in as demos.
4. The knives will hopefully be fnished and sold to help raise funds for N.E.C.K.A. for our future events, and our hopes to grow larger, host shows, hammer-ins and help to teach those who want to learn.

so lets here what you guys think
