Hi Mike, just a suggestion/idea to think about. Would it make sense to have 2 cable billets cleaned up and ready beforehand? Do the demo that morning on making a billet, then use the 2 made ahead of time to keep things on schedule. Kind of like they do on a cooking show, do a demo, pop in oven, immediately pull out the one that was precooked and keep on going to save time. If you like the idea, maybe we can hook up and get them done over the weekend.
 
awesome thinking J. there were a lot of ideas we came up with like that at IG's but i forgot them by the time i wrote this down a few nights ago at minight... and when posting it last night at midnight none of those good ideas came to me. we had touched on that idea of having some things pre-done if possible. to speed up the process and fit in more demos. but we still want to keep some on site stuff going. so we can get more people involved and make it a nice widespread N.E.C.K.A. collaboration project.

geez no-one's commenting on the post... was it something i said? do the ideas suck that bad!?!?! :confused:
 
GrassHoppa, this is a good platform to work from. We can put it up on newsprint and post it in the smithy so all the attendees will know the game plan. The prep work shouldn’t be a problem. We can make up some cable billets next week and surface grind one for stock removal and leave one for forging. I nominate you as the announcer.

The 23rd gets my vote. Tess want's me around for Cabbage Night and Danny's first Hallowen.
 
Whatever works best for the guys like David and J. who are travelling very long distances to make it. Either the 23 or 30 is fine with me.
