Neckers for Blade

Rick, you asked, so, IMVHO I think the chain or the paracord are both cheap additions to an otherwise fantastic handmade little pieces of cutlery art. Maybe braided Hemp...........Randy

Rick, you just gave me the idea I've been looking for....a necker sheath made of leather, instead of Kydex, with a way to secure the knife in the sheath.
Great idea!
What is the proper name of the metal studs?
Thanks!

I will gladly keep the lovefest going, those are freaking sweet, dude. Wish I could make it to Blade, one of those would be at the top of my list! The sheath design is genius, I've never seen that before & I love it! Well done.

Neckered Utility Kiridashi with locking sheath.... means we can enjoy carving everywhere?

If this was inspired from right-handed Kiridashi I want to ask;
1. Totally only right side scandi grinded? Left side is perfectly flat or V-shape grinded?
2. Bebel is needed? or Urasuki(裏スキ) wasn't needed?
3. Laminated Aogami Super?
(not offensive just wanted to hear your concept)

Thanks for sharing.

Troop...
They are called Sam Browne Buttons

Ikuyadas...
They are not single bevel. The knives are flat ground on both sides with a secondary convex bevel. Perhaps the picture is a bit unclear, sorry. The steel is 1095

These are just too sweet! When blade is done I'm sure you will get lots of orders for these... :D

They look like very handy little tools - nicely done! The paracord sheath with the chain is a great combination. Never a good idea to have something around your neck that will not break easily.

Those are some slick little knives man. What are the spec? and if you dont mind sayin what would something like that run you?

I dont like wearing a neck knife, but those look really badaz.Id use it as a back pocket knife i think.Youll prolly sell those like cotton candy at the show!

Rick, Very nice neckers. I all so carry my neck knives using para cord and they are not break away I have done that for years, I have never had a problem with snagging or getting caught either. Could it happen??? Is it for every one? No, but it works for me so far. I tried a length of leather for a while but cord just felt better to.

What are the dimensions on the two blades you posted pics of in this thread? I really like both of them.

Nice little blades and traditional style necker sheath.

I agree with some of the others, the ball chain and paracord match kydex really well, but that traditional style needs leather, or rawhide, or hemp, or something similar.

I also agree, if it's priced right it's a great impulse buy item.

I switched out the lanyards to leather with an option for ballchain.

It looks much better, now.... thanks... sorry no pics (I already shipped them out)

Rick how easy are these things to retrieve and then to re-sheath?
