My main necker is the afore mentioned Woodswalker. It is an odd shaped knife but performs great allowing a good grip. I made a small leather belt sheath that I often wear tied to a leather thong around my neck.

One knife I love the design of but don't like is the Buck Hartsook. If it were just a smidge bigger. Had the Becker, it needed to be s smidge smaller.

The ML Knives knife with osage is a good looking knife.

Here's yet another Gossman PSK jr. with neck sheath by mtnfolk mike. It makes a very nice combo.

Have to admit that I only wear a neck knife when I am hiking, camping, or hunting naked.

That said, the Woodswalker makes me feel like a Gentleman strolling through the "property" for a mid-Fall hunt in New England, with the setter dogs ranging ahead. :)

Pitdog that Rat looks even better in "Sewer Green":D Also how does that Buck Diamondback work for you? It's light and very sharp I have noticed. I thought it might be a good "Mora" type knife. Thin sharp profile, light weight and good size. Maybe I can search the forum somehow and find an old review.

The Diamond back is a great little knife for the money, I find the handle to be very comfortable in use,the steel keeps a reasonable edge and is easy to re-sharpen and it's so light that you don't notice the weight !!!

Nice! Is that the model with the 3 1/8th inch blade or the 3 and 7/8ths inch model?
I wonder what the tang shape/width is under the handle?

Speaking of Bucks I think the old Buck Woodsman 102 could be a good neck knife.
Right now the 102 and my Enzo are my favorite small knives.

I recently received an order from Ragweed that included a laminated Mora blade that measures 2 3/8" long (KB-120) for a neck knife. I'll fashion a handle for it soon and I'll try to design it to be as unobtrusive and comfortable as I can get it. Might not be easy, but I appreciate all the pics in this thread to give me ideas.

I have one of the Hideaway knives utility pattern. Custom made to fit my fingers and is an excellent little knife.

Nice knives Mike. What are the top 2? The black one and the shiny one with skeleton handle?

I'll take the liberty of responding for Mike, as I think he's out of town. The top necker, Driveby, is the famed Becker Necker (BK11), and the one right below it (the shiny-looking fellow) is a Buck Mayo Kaala.

Edit: I looked too quick at that second one, and mistook it for a Kaala. In actuality, it's a Crawford neck knife. My bad. Sorry all...

I decided I like the Woodswalker enough that I will be ordering a few more and redoing the handles in Micarta. It's a great little knife and only $10! I did Kydex sheaths for mine and there's just enough room for two rivets spaced for a small Tek-Lok and one at the bottom for a neck lanyard so it can be carried either way - or in my pocket, where it is right now. My wife peeled a bunch of apples today for applesauce using her Woodswalker. She'll tell me in two seconds if "it's no good" but she hasn't said anything so it passes a very objective and decisive knife critic's test.

I picked up this Hinderer Flashpoint not long ago, and along with a Krein (original, not CRKT) dogfish, seem like nice choices. I use the dogfish a lot since I'm partial to the bottle opener when "fishing".
