Kershaw Tanto Blur can be had for right at $50 if you look. USA made, good steel, assisted open and a company with a great warranty.

The torsion bar that provides the assist WILL, however, wear out. Kershaw will replace it if you call or email them, but you can also just take out the broken bar and it will function just fine as a manual(that's not true of all assisted knives, but it is with the Blur).

The Kershaw blur is a good choice with nice steel if you're willing to put in An extra 10$

Or you could take a look at the Kershaw link in aluminum, these two knives can be easily de-assisted

Buck Vantage Pro is a lot of knife for $51 or less. G10, S30V steel, flipper, USA made and two sizes.

My Kershaw Skyline has always been a favorite. Thin and easy to carry, opens fast, big blade for its size. Not as fancy in the steel as the Buck, but just a really great knife with lots of fans.

Otherwise, you might want to browse by going to knifecenter, selecting "USA made knives", then setting the results to "Low to high". Then you'll see most common USA made knives up to your maximum price.

Where do you live? Are there any restrictions?
do you have an idea of desired blade length, lock type?
Do you mean an Auto by "quick release button?" or a flipper?

I'm in Jackson Mississippi . 5 inch blade should be fine , I also like the clip that clip on your jean

I picked up a Kefshaw Link recently and so far I like it a lot. Not sure I need assisted opening but it works great on the knife so far and the blade came centered and very sharp. I paid $39 which seems to be about right.

Remember You get what you pay for. If you want a knife to last 20+ years i would by from a company that has a great warranty as well a good construction. Get a spyderco.

I don't think he's close to a USA made Spyderco at $50, no real options there. Best choice in OP's parameters is an aluminum handled Link.

Seems like a winner for $35! Really nice belly on that blade also!

They are great knives - carrying one today as a matter of fact, but the one I have on me today is the blackwashed tanto version with aluminum scales

These have a pocket clip, are USA made, have a lifetime warranty from a well-established company, and they are a killer deal from Dave at Kershawguy.com.

Thanks to Jason - redfeenix - for the Link I am carrying today - I won that in a giveaway contest that he held.... ;^)

Buck. Hands down. 110, 112, Vantage, or Bucklite Max. Best knife for the best price and best warranty.

+1 on the Blur. Many options available, great value, great warranty, great knife assisted or not. Be careful with the Kershaw Link however. Many have the absence of a detent hole in the blade making de-assisting out of the question.

Get a Kershaw Camber, has a flipper and is assisted but works great when you de-assist it, it also has a S30V blade.
