need a every day carry knife made in USA 50 under

My EDC trio is a Buck 110 (roughly $28 at the big box store) a Buck 301 Stockman (around $20 at the big river place) and a SAK Recruit (around $20 at the big box store) The SAK is made in Switzerland, of course, but the 110 and 301 are both made in Idaho, US of A.
All three are built to last generations, take and hold a shaving sharp edge, and are sheeple friendly.

The buck vantage can have serious centering issues. It is well documented. They have a good warranty though, you might need it. The buck 110 has no pocket clip folks. That Kershaw link looks about perfect and crushes the budget!

Not only that but given what I have seen from the Joti development website (Taichung spydercos) I would question the validity of Bucks "made in the USA" claims. IMHO they are using the swiss watch method of manufacturing where as long as the final assembly is done In USA 90% of the parts can be machined overseas.

I'm not all that impressed with the Link, but it's about the only option I'd consider for your criteria. And only the aluminum handled version.

I'll reflect the quality issues with Buck. I may have just been unlucky. I plan on sending my Vantage Force Pro back to have the issues hopefully fixed. At the end of the day I have too many dislikes of the design to recommend it either way.

+1 For Blur!

I want this knife to last 20+ years . also quick release button . trusty american made knife .
If I want my knife to last longest manual folder knife or quick release button ?

I would have to recommend the kershaw link aluminum handle as others have. Owning it, it's a nice knife, I do wish it had a deep carry pocket clip already on it. If it had phosphor bronze washers instead of the assisted opening be amazing. But the way it is basically is perfect.

+1 on the buck 110. It's a more traditional style folding knife that's American made, tough as nails, and a blade that any knife guy should have in the collection

My bad made in Taiwan. Ontario knives is out of New York.

Buck, Case, or Kershaw. The Kershaw Link #1776 is pretty sweet if you can deal with the weight - near 5 ounces is pushing my EDC folder limit. YMMV. Of course, then again, that's light compared to the 7+ oz. Buck 110!
