Need a good folder for $120 or less

Let me cast a lone vote for the BM 721.

I hate to hear about your tragedy. I know most of the last post were for a Sere 2000, and it is a great knife. BUT, I have to say go with a Spyderco Police G-10, or a Wegner. I like the BM 710 as well, and it would be my third choice. Getcha a Spydie!!

Creative use of the search engine will yield numerous threads like this one, more input for you.

Meanwhile, my votes:

BM 710
BM 800
Spyderco Starmate
Spyderco Wegner
MT LCC
MT Socom Elite

Not a tactical, or a tank, or much of a looker. But weightless, disappears in the pocket, solid lockback, cuts aggressively forever, very ergonomic, and reliably stainless.

This is a knife you forget you have on you until you need it, and then it aggressively cuts whatever you need it to cut, maintenance free.

I have to agree, I have just fallen in love with this knife for around the house carry. About the only knife that I use the clip on!

If you want a pure fighter, there's no way you can beat a Sifu, and if 1SKS still has them for $120 it's an absolute steal.

Otherwise, 710hs is the best you can do. It's my favorite all-around knife. Excellent steel & lock, very useful blade shape and size. As said before, it's a no-brainer.

I went to the knife shop today and handled some of the knives you guys suggested, and I bought a Benchmade 710 today for $111. It really feels good and opens really smooth, thank you to every one who helped me with this knife purchase. And the bad thing is eventually I will buy all these knives, thanks guys, now I know where my paychecks will be going for awhile. :-)

Darkjedi - Thanks Again

Cool. That's an awesome choice. You will not be disappointed.

Was it the M2 model?

Very nice knife! IMHO one of the best ones out there!

Yes it was the M2 model. Since I live in the desert rust is really not a problem
