Need a good lightweight knife under 2" in length for suit carry

That particular one is a faux abalone celluloid, so probably cheaper than you'd expect. I found the pic on Bill's website. The one I have has an ebony handle and I got it VERY cheap. Of course, you can always get one in damascus steel with REAL abalone or stag and then, yeah, questions will be asked!

Kershaw Chive. Nice and flat, disappears in the pocket.

Opinels can be made unobtrusive by rounding the heel of the pommel and trimming the flare. You can flatten the sides, too, but I don't find that necessary on No.6 and smaller. No.6, smallest Opinel with the lock ring, has a 2 7/8" blade.

Spyderco Chaparral.

Can you give some guidance on what basic style you prefer. There are tons of knives in this category.

You should carry something that makes you incredibly happy to look at. Case is producing a small Peanut with a scissors secondary blade. Also a small Trapper with a cap lifter secondary. Nice office carry.

Another beautiful knife is the Buck 501. The Bucks lay very flat and don't imprint much at all (but do slide out of the pocket easily).

None of these suggestions matter if you prefer a more modern look. This is worse than recommending dress shoes. Your taste and your taste alone matters.

As 22-rim said, the Bantam is incredibly versatile and useful for such weight and thickness.
The blade is a true slicer, steel won't rust or chip, and you can sharpen it on the coffee mug, toiled lid or almost any other ceramic if necessary.

Disappears in the pocket, and a pocket dangler/clip will make it stay put and straight for 100% nice carry.

Quaity is usual Vic, that is flawless.

Looks inofensive, is really inexpensive and the bottle opener/corkscrew (for those men in suits good beverages) works excellently, and doubles as a prybar and flathead screwdriver that can withstand more abuse than it seems.

I wouldn't think of a better candidate for blade + versatility in that price, size and weight range. A true classic!

Victorinox secretary, you don't get a more unnoticeable pocket knife. I wear one in my backpocket at work everyday. I measured it to ,5 cm for thickness. Beat that.

The bantam don't have a wineopener, that must be another model, also the alox vic's are slimmer than the plastic ones.

I'm a sucker for the SAKs, I may have to buy a few of them along with some other suggestions on here. Thanks again for all the help everyone!

Alox are slimmer, indeed. I dig and like them too

After some research it's true, thhat Vic I pictured and talk about is nota Bantam...but the Bantam still has the cap lifter.

My model is a Waiter, as it incorporates the corkscrew which the Bantam lacks, but both feature the combo tool/cap lifter

I've got the bantam as well, slightly thicker than the secretary, but not by much. But a good % more heavy. Bantam is 29 g and secretary is only 21. The mainblade on the two is almost identical.

I chose the Vic Bantam because it DIDN'T have the cork screw. You loose the tweezers and toothpick if you go with alox. But they are certainly prettier knives to me.

I always cary a classic SD in the coin/watch pocket, so there is my tweezer and toothpick, actually the two most used items on the two knives. Guess who saved the day with his EDC tweezer on a family outing when his niece got a bad wood splinter in her finger and no one could pull it out? Had to operate a bit with the blade before I could pull out the splinter. They'd probably have had to go back home if I've not been able to fix the problem. So don't leave home without your SD...

2nd the Mcusta option. Very impressed with my 1st one.
The Kasumi fits your criteria, stainless vg10 damascus.

Benchmade 482 Megumi and Viper Slim are both on my short list (pun intended), but I prefer >3" blades.

CRK Mnandi
or custom if price isn't a concern.

That is an awesome blade! But I'd be worried if I pulled that out at the office the boss would be thinking she was paying me too much [emoji1]

Thing is, she probably would have absolutely no idea what it was or how much it cost...

I know it isn't the latest wonder steel but the Gerber LST is a winner. .7 ounce
