Need a good recommendation for a solid EDC knife.

i have 710, griptilian, mini skirmish, hk 14200, rift ... and my edc (meaning my favorite pocket knife) is the kulgera ....

the more i use it ,the more i like it
a really, really usefull and beautifull knife
thin, but strong

For EDC I prefer a slightly smaller, lighter knife. Since you don't want zytel the Grip is out, so I'd recommend a BM 940 Osborne. Its aluminum, so its light and its also slim with a nice blade.

What do you guys think about the P'Kal as an EDC knife? I know it's for self defense, and there could be a possibility of using it as one, just as with any knife, but I'm not really concerned with that.

Anyway, it has G10 scales, S30V steel, blade hole, waved feature, and an Axis lock (ball bearing). The grip looks comfortable in any position. The only beef I might have with the knife is the short blade, and blade profile, and the fact that it might not be sheeple friendly.

So, has anyone had experience with the P'Kal as a EDC or can point me toward a good review of the knife as a non SE knife? It really does seem to fit my whole agenda.

Otherwise it's between a:

Benchmade 710 (might be too small / thin)
Police 3 with G10 and 4 point pocket clip (lockback is the only thing I dont like)
Military with S90V and Carbon fiber (can't be configured for tip up & "ghetto waved")
Waved Endura 4. (zytel handles)

That is what I've narrowed down my final choices to.

If you like Benchmades, you really should check the Rukus and the Kulgera as well. Also, considering looking into the Zero Tolerance line, they are about the best bang for the buck you can find in the market today.

Well, here I am, stuck deciding:

Kershaw Offset, grey blade and awesome paint splatter
Spyderco Police 3
Spyderco Waved Endura
Benchmade 710D2
Emerson CQC-8, waved

I'm leaning towards an Offset. Any other cool suggestions not from BM, Spyderco, Kershaw or Emerson I haven't heard of? Please no lame Cold Steel or SoG.

What about getting a G-10 Endura/Police and put a zip tie on it?
Or getting both the G-10 Endura and the Endura Wave and swapping handles?
If you're considering the Emerson CQC8 you may want to look at the Horseman. It's a smaller version of the 8, but is a comparable size to your other options.
If you're considering the Offset, maybe a Zero Tolerance 0200 or 30x might appeal to you.
