Need a New Belt

Ive got the 5.11 TDU belt. Been using it every day and ive had no issues or complaints about it. It has a non-slip plastic buckle.

I used a 511 belt but the velcro was annoying and wore quickly. I hated going to a public bathroom and hearing that velcro sound while everyone would look around.

I did the logical thing and ponied up for a Filson leather belt. It will last forever and has done great for a few years of edc service so far.

I like the Bison Designs T-Lock belts in 30 and 38mm widths. The plastic buckles are great for flying.

Another vote for Bison Designs, made in USA. My work belt is a Millennium, been wearing it for several years now and little sign of wear. When not at work I wear a Tap Cap 38mm, I love knowing I have a spare bottle opener with me should the need arise.

Just placed an order with Rayban, those belts look to good to pass up.

If you get a heavy leather belt, make sure it is cut on a contour so it doesn't bunch up on you. If you lay it out flat and it is straight, walk on to something else. ;)

theWilderness belts are really nice and a great choice. I have an older SOEGear belt that has been a good riggers belt as well. The one downside of the velcro rigger's belts is the hassle of cinching it up each time you need to open it up for a bathroom pitstop.

I've been wearing a Milt Sparks belt for about 12 years now. Some shoe polish and a horse brush once in a while and I'm good to go. I don't know what I would do if it broke at this point. It's a part of me know.

Another vote for the Wilderness Instructor Belt. I've had one for years and still wear it daily, I replaced it with a 5.11 copy (got for free with some pants) but the 5.11's velcro wore out and I went back to the Wilderness. The Blackhawk Rigger belt is okay too, I wish they made it in 1.5" but it only comes in 1.75".

The Wilderness is a bit expensive but they're well made (in Oregon or Washington I think) and they seem to be a decent company, good people.

Mythology.....a straight cut belt, 1-1/2" wide x 1/4" thick will contour to ones body in no time at all.

I'd go with a Wilderness Frequent Flier 1.5" 5 Stitch. The FF doesn't have the Rambo look. If I'm not wearing a suit and tie I am wearing a Frequent Flier. The biggest advantage is the infinite adjustability. Take the time to figure out what size you need by using their instructions and you won't regret it. I started wearing their Ring Belt many years ago and still have it. I currently have 3 other FF which have a durable plastic ring buckle. One in black 1.5", a Khaki 1.5" and a 1.25" Khaki that truthfully doesn't get much wear.

Great belts and they are made in the USA!

my Yamaha FJR sits high, and I have to move forward on the tank to get on, so wear a stiff Uncle Mikes velcro under pistol belt (1.75") ... velcro closure so no buckle to scratch the tank.... not as pretty as my fancy stitched Milt Sparks gun belt, but works for daily wear... key ring snap, Leatherman pouch, and Maxpedition phone pouch transported without a problem...

I actually just made one of those with the ripcord sinnet. Took me about an hour and a half, not that hard.
yes making one with the ripcord sinnet would be easy but its a loose weave mine are very tight and made to last a life time and take me 5 hours to complete

i've been using a liger gun belt, tough one, water proof, maybe a little stiff sometimes, but good looking and will hold practically anything.

I've been extremely happy with my Crossbreed Belt. They also make some weird looking IWB holsters, that many of the reviews I've read, RAVE about it!

My waistline fluctuates day to day so I am looking for a thick belt that can hold a gun and a knife that has a slider buckle. Any recommendations?

well they dont have a slider buckle but a paracord belt can be adjusted in 1/4in increments the full length of the belt and are thick enough to carry what ever you want to carry
