Need a new blade for my edc setup…

I think a Bond theme with a $6000 watch and Walther’s deserves a higher knife budget and a CRK that will be trusted and treasured for a lifetime. Fantastic quality and materials and company. I think a modern day Bond would definitely carry one.

I say go classic sheffield, maybe a sailors knife, all metal handle or army knife. What about a sheep’s foot blade from A Wright and Sins or from Taylor Eye Witness.

I would second the Sebenza option (other than the budget limit), and then, since there is a 3 inch limit, I'll skip talking about the large Sebenza and refer to the small.

OP said "-NOT a Spyderco (tried most of them, really don’t like their design)", but I'd like to submit one anyway as I used to feel similarly about them. :p I find this Chaparral to be a bit different than most Spyderco. I also find it compares favorably with my small Sebenza (perhaps sacrilege for some). I like the stainless liners and textured CF scales (over a G10 base). Both of these can be used as a dressier knife if desired. It has a deep carry wire clip, though I've removed mine. The thin full flat grind blade is super slicy. The Chaparral trades a bit of blade edge for a choil. With the choil, I can four-finger grip the handle securely. The Sebenza has a bit more edge on the blade but, with the index finger at the indentation, I need to grip the handle+lanyard, which isn't quite as secure. (I wear glove size L.) With the protection of the choil and nub, I find the Chaparral safe for one hand closing as the choil/nub touch the finger instead of the sharp edge. While tight with the spyder hole, it can still squeeze into the slip sheath of the Sebenza. I really like both of these for pocket carry. Here are some comparative photos.

He used a knife in Skyfall to cut a bullet out of his shoulder.

Don't know what it was, but it looked like Q probably custom ordered it for him.

To me Bond if he carried a folder it would probably be something more gentleman in nature especially if he's carrying a dagger or boot knife.

The easy answer would have been the Cold Steel GoldenEye but it's out of production I think.

Short List
MKM Zieba
Ocaso Knives Demko Solstice
Boker Urban Trapper
Boker Kwaiken
Pro-Tech Cambria since it is in Tuxedo

Ballistic knife, wasp knife or some other gimmick
But I think the Benchmade Pardue 530 would fit your look and budget you’re going for

This doesn't help the OP one bit, but when I think of a Bond knife d/a out-the-sides with a hidden auto release come to mind
