Need EDC for wife

Hey everyone. I am a longtime lover/user of Kershaw knives, recently received a new ZT0350TS blem to replace the Kershaws I gave away as gifts. Now my wife wants an EDC & I was looking at the orange scale skyline for her. My reasoning is that the orange scales would be easier to see in her purse (she probably won't carry in pockets) & I trust the Kershaw line. What do you guys think? Any & all suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks.
 
I see a lot of guys getting the scallion and chive...the both come in pink, if your better half likes that color:p
 
Ask her what she would like, If she doesn't like it she probably won't cary it or use it. I say this because my wife does the same thing. She has a Purple Splinter that she doesn't like as much so she keeps it at work for opening boxes. She has a rainbow scallion I got her because she loved the colors and she does actually occasionally carry it now, go figure!

She is not a "pink" gal. I can't remember if those come with the textured scales or not...that is one thing I think she must have for ease of gripping when wet or what have you.

Fortunately she is deferring to me on this item. I had already purchased a tactical pen she can use to defend herself & was pleased with the choice. An EDC blade though has many more styles/uses than a pen though.
 
I would ask what she uses it for first. I carry a smaller CRKT Drifter to save on space. The Zing Groove is pretty tight package, the blade is the Sandvik version. I almost pulled the trigger on one but I have a couple of trades going on right now. And one guy has 9 left on a certain auction site right now for $55 shipped from Canada right now.

I believe they both come with textured scales in black and pink...you can get more colors in Aluminum *shrug*

Scallions in textured form only come in black and yellow.

Corvo, Thats what mine said untill she seen something she liked! I wish you luck then.

Of all the EDC knives I've given my girl, she likes her Blur tanto the best. She carries her knives appendix, in the waist band.
 
ummm after reading all the post i think it comes back to skyline or u could go with orange packrat/ OD-1. thise come in black as weel ofcourse and are alot harder to come by in orange but there out there.

The main concern with the color option is visibility in her purse. She is not comfortable clipping items on her waistband/pockets. She wears business dress for work & I'm not even sure if her outfits have any pockets...
 
My wife is not a knife person at all. I bought an orange Skyline awhile ago and she took it over and I barely use it any more. If that says anything, I don't know.

What I'm trying to say is, get the orange Skyline.

LOL, thanks LC, more than likely that's what I'll end up getting her but I wanted to hear different opinions.
 
yeh was just saying packrat and OD-1 come in orange G-10 as well.....those would be different choices. the leek has alot of colors to pick from but only the black g-10. I would go with leek or skyline..... the tip of leek isnt built for hard use as much as the skyline.
