Need EDC for wife

I always question carrying self defense tools off the person. What good will it do when you need to deploy it immediately? When it's buried in your bag or purse.
And I think I'd rather have pepper spray than leek to defend myself, but that's just me.

The orange Leek is pretty cool.

Remember the Kershaw Leek folders have a lock to keep it solidly closed when folded.

Whether you’re left-handed or right-handed, it’s easy to open your orange Leek with SpeedSafe assisted opening. A simple pull back on the ambidextrous flipper blade protrusion or push outward on the thumbstud and the Leek’s blade is ready to go to work. For safety, a locking liner keeps the blade locked open during use and a Tip-Lock slider locks it closed when folded.

She wants another tool in her arsenal & I agree with her. Pepper spray/mace is also a good consideration in addition.

good point

With a 3 inch blade you can carry the Leek almost anywhere in the U.S. except Boston, Mass. Los Angeles, San Francisco and Oakland all have 3 inch limits on folders. Below 3 inches the self-defense practicality diminishes a lot.

When did this turn into prac/tac? He was looking for a kershaw, lets keep the discussions on topic or maybe it would better suit to take this to general.

I bought my wife a scallion. But she likes the kershaw chill and the cryo also. When she seen my cryo she asked why I didn't get her that one lol. As far as I know they don't make pink cryos and she wanted pink. She likes the scallion though.

With all the suggestions I think she'll need to handle a few. Anyone know if Bass or Cabelas has a Kershaw section?

They both do via Internet but if talking about retail call them up just to be sure of particular models.

Thanks, I'll do that. Bass is relatively close by & we enjoy the food at the restaurant. Cabelas is further but I may want to check out their gunroom anyway.

cabela's does, they don't have a whole lot, but they do have em. At least the one south of Austin Tx.

I might also add the Knockout to the list. It's nice and thin, plus it's light.

Ok, so she's had a chance to hold & handle a few. Some of my buddies came over & she played with a Zing Tanto, Skyline, Leek, & Blur. She chose the Skyline so that is what I'm getting her. I want to thank everyone on here for their input & suggestions.
