Hello everyone, this is my first post to the blade forums!

I am looking for a very specific knife for work. I work at a grocery store and a big part of my job is cutting plastic and breaking down boxes. I am looking for a pocket knife (not a box cutter ;)) that is between 2.5 and 3 inches. I want something that i can whip out quickly, cut what i need to and put back quickly, I dont want to fumble around trying to close it and waste time. I would also like it to have a decent steel because cardboard dulls knives quickly. If anyone could suggest any ideas to me i would greatly appreciate it thank you all!

I think the pm2 is too big and tactical for my personal application. Has anyone tried the delica with the emerson opener? And that spyderco urban does look nice...

The spyderco dragonfly with g10 looks about perfect to me, the only problem is that i would like there to be some sort of wave opener like i could just pull it out of my pocket cut and put it away almost in one motion. Does anyone know of any sort of mods (other than the old ziptie mod) i can use to open one quicker?

I do really like those axis locks on the griptillions, im not sure if they make the mini in g-10 but if they did i may be very interested in one.

My cardboard and plastic knife is a tasman salt with serrated edge. It's small, lightweight, cuts throug anything, truly stainless and I don't worry about the edge. On the sharpmaker it's quick to touch up again.

So my suggestion is something with a spyderedge (and then you have a lot of affordable options)

Dude, if you are considering the waved Delica then just get it. That is an amazing knife. It slices like a demon, has a nice tough tip. Just get it. Not only is it an amazing work knife, it is an amazing EDC knife.

To me the waved Delica is one of the best designed knives ever, full stop. It will do work, everyday carry, and even have self defense capability thanks to the wave.

It has one more key feature for worksites. Unlike the Emerson waves the Delica's larger wave can actually make a very good bottle opener.
