Need help finding my next vacation spot!

Wow those are beautiful pictures, everyone! I def will be going somewhere with a beach.. crystal clear water and strong margaritas

Go to the Keys. Marathon Key is quiet, relaxing and easy reach to Key West for a day trip (and then back to Marathon as Key West can get a little crazy). But great waters, very laid back and CHEAP SEAFOOD!!!

(not to mention a very positive attitude towards margaritas! )

And it sure beat winter in minnesota

(ok this is last year but I am sure we will get like this soon - and why I go to the Keys... when I can .....)

Bargara Beach, Queensland, Australia. Most stable climate in the country.

I pulled these pics off the net but the front door to my "summer house" is about 100 meters out of shot to the right here:

Here's the main beach (just in front of the first shot) on a quiet day. Again, I pulled this one from the net:

Let me know. Cheap accommodation! :D

Wharn, that is great lava pic. How did you get so close?

fourth down, below the lava... is that looking back at Hilo?

We were on the Big Island seven years ago, stayed in Waikoloa and Hilo. Great trip.

To funny, I just tried to book an eight night trip to Costa Rica but it told me I have to double occupancy to get the deal...Talk about good timing ;)

On a side note I'm also looking at Ecuador for a couple of weeks around March.
The places I've been looking at to move to are,
Costa Rica
Equador
Southern Spain

I want to be able to get up and walk outside to pick my fresh fruits and veggies every day just before I head to the market or out on a boat to catch my dinner, so how old are you Pokey? :)

SSSSHHH..There is no need to put too much information out there so soon..Pleasant surprises are all part of the fun on a Vacation Trip...;)

Himmm not all surprises are "pleasant", and some people just do not like surprises - anytime.

But mums the word .:thumbup::D

The lava picture was from about 2 years ago when it was really going off at Kalapana. If you go at night you can just walk right up to the lava (it was extremely slow moving). And yes, the fourth picture is Hilo.

There's no place like home! The Na'Pali Coast of Kauai...where little 'Maddman' grew up... been all over the world--it's been tough to beat!

You go to KC twice a year and Atlanta for Blade once a year, how many more vacations do you need? ;)

As for another option for a vacation, I'm no world traveler, so I don't know what the hell to go see, but, I can tell you this with a lot of confidence, don't go to Mexico

What is all this dribble... clearly you need to visit SYDNEY.... :) Palm Beach, Avalon Beach, Manly Beach, Bondi Beach, Bronte or Tamarama ....all are beautiful and very "understanding" should you swimming costume be "smaller" than the norm.... ;)

Pokey,

I agree with Andy sort of.....

If you have never been down under then why not visit your friendly southern neigbours!

Best beaches in the world bar none.

I'll make sure someone is home and will leave the porch lights on!

Lawrie.
