Need help pending Xmas $$500 which of these 4 would you pick?

Unfortunately this Swish as you have it is way way way over $500.

It's still great without all the bells and whistles--I carry this one too:

Yep, I think the almost stock Olamics look outstanding. If you are patient, you can find a pretty customized "used" one that's basically brand new for about the price of a stock one. Just make sure that it has the certificate of authenticity with it. Olamic probably has one of the best warranties in the industry, just make sure it has the certificate.

Yeah that Koenig is a real bummer. I tend to use my knives as fidget toys as well as cutting stuff and a reviewer I respect pointed out that the flipper would be an issue for those who flip a knife a lot. Was about his only negative. Too bad.

And I agree if the words made in China were on any of them I would not even consider.

Still undecided

When I look at the Swish and see that bump on top of the handle, it just doesn't look comfortable. I've seen many votes for it, so must not be an issue.

Not being personally familiar with these brands (out of my price range), if I had to pick one of your four, I'd vote CRK. Reason? I have read about the quality and workmanship here at BF for many years. Plus, I'd rather support a USA made company when possible (or an Italian one, see below).

If I had $500, I'd go LionSteel TMI lockback $210ish + ZT 450cf $180ish + something else.

Actually, I find it very comfortable in hand. The hump molds into your palm and feels great even when cutting hard.

We'll honor the warranty even if you don't get the certificate, and it's transferable, so even if you're not the original owner, and something needs fixing/etc you're good

I'd go with any Olamic, I like the 247 best, but everyone likes different things. It looks like there are lots of swish options around.
Any Reate are great. I would also look at Liong Mah's website, liongmah.com There are some great sub 500 offerings there, especially the "Lanny".

I love my Olamic Wayfarer 247, but I'm not much for the look of the Swish, M Mrgauth . I'll echo at least one other member and shy away from Chinese knives, though not on principle--I just don't see much there that floats my boat. I have a few Spyderco Tenaci as I have a weak spot for that knife and one Kizer Laconico Vanguard, but just don't see investing a lot in an expensive Chinese blade.

My money's on the KnifeArt CRK. I have a large KA 21 drop point, a large 21 Insingo with Micarta inlays, and a large Inkosi with natural Micarta inlays. Combining those three would make for an awesome knife, and your mention is tempting me to pull the trigger on one of those myself. I think I'll head over to the knife boxes and pick out a few more to list on the Exchange.

Hope we're not both angling for the last one. ;)

Wow, those are 4 great knives! In case you didn't know, the Liong Mah is a Reate also.

I have several Reates including a LM Warrior 1. They are all impeccable knives and I can recommend them heartily. Somehow I haven't managed to find a Reate that had any soul. They're perfect, beautiful knives but seem a little like a heartless cyborg to me.

I have an Olamic 247 and love it. I opted for a fairly "blingy" ornate one. The knife is a joy to use and flip but the ergos just don't work for me. As a result I don't often reach for it to carry. I'm not sure if this would be the same with the Swish.

If you already know you like CRK, I'd say go with that. My favorite knife I own is a Knife Art CF Sebenza. If the plain, engineered perfection of a CRK floats your boat, the reduced weight and contrast of CF will hit it out of the park.

Good luck! I honestly don't think you can go wrong with any of those choices.

CRK without a doubt for me. Or a different blade from the good old USA.

Don’t send your $$$ to China if there is a good way to find what you need here.
