Need more huge knives!

The Benchmade 810 Contego only has a 4" blade, but it seems bigger. It's also very thick and made of CPM-M4. Probably the best combination in toughness and edge retention you can get.

Camillus Knives CUDA MAXX 5.5, Darrel Ralph design, features: 5.5” matte finished D2 semi-stainless steel blade with “Quik-Flik” integral blade dual-flipper, and dual thumb studs for ambidextrous one hand opening, subdued color anodized titanium handle, 6 ½” closed, with hardened titanium frame lock, stainless steel pocket clip and lanyard hole, and nylon zipper storage pouch. Available with plain and part serrated edge bowie blade, and plain edge stiletto blade with blood grooves. 11 5/8” overall, 7oz.

There's the Timber Rattler Scarab, which has an 8" blade, but given it retails for about $13 no one would ever describe it as a hard use folder.

Basically it's just someone's interpretation of the oversized folding knife Crocodile Dundee used in his third movie.

Short of the Opinel #13 or a Spanish made Navaja it is probably the largest folder around though.

i think cold steel makes some of the best huge folders around, i dont really see any other companies putting out folders that big for those prices and quality

talwar xl(this knife is sweet)
espada
xl voyagers in 3 styles
old 6 inch voyagers and vaqueros can still be found on ebay for decent prices(my favorites)
rajah
6 inch ti-lite

I have one of these myself. I do not believe they are available anymore. They ceased being available when Camillus folded due to employees wanting to go union.

that 4.25" blade looks tiny in comparison... haha

The espada is a huge knife, but in my opinion, with that length is is more like a sword than a hard use folder. the edge feels too slim to do work like a fixed blade of its size, with proper thickness. IMO.

I actually only have two knives that are large. and they top out at 4"... contego and recon 1.

Mykel Hawke Harrior comes in at 5 1/4". The price is indicative of the materials from which it's made. That of course can be subjective.

I suspect there is a warning or infraction from one of the mods in your immediate future.

Don't ask how I know this.

Wait for it! ;-)

No, it is not for sale. Although the right offer could buy the entire box of knives as you see them. But you have to be a paid member here to discuss such things. Most especially, being a paid member allows you to use "personal messages", something you as just a registered user cannot do. $10.00 a year is all it takes. ;-)

Well, go up to the above right of this site, to SETTINGS. Click that and go down the list on the left to PERMISSION GROUPS. Click on that and you will see two choices, one of them being your paid membership. Click that to change your account status. That will change your user name to a different color signifying your paid status.

Your welcome.

Spyderco Szabo is a pretty big folder. 4.25" if I'm not mistaken. And good materials.

Graymen SATU, Benchmade Onslaught, Quartermaster, Fox Deimos. Off hand that's what comes to mind.

Spyderco Szabo folder with a 4.61" blade that's 0.157" thick.

Wildsteer WX folder with a 4.63" blade that's 0.1875" thick. Everything about this including the lock says overbuilt.

Look for an old Camillus CUDA MAXX with a 5.5" D-2 blade. They pop up from time to time.
That's what I was gonna' advise, I mainly collect Customs but there's still a cuda maxx lying over on an end table.
Not the Bowie blade, the Stilleto.

Happy Hunting !

For size perspective, here's a picture of my Wildsteer WX at the top with the Zero Tolerance 0600 below it and the Spyderco Military at the bottom:
