I was wondering whether or not Newgraham(.com) has a broker so i won't have to pay for duty taxes and stuff. Because i made a 80 dollar order from
this good knife site called yourcornerstore(.com) and had to pay an extra $40.00 for duty taxes because i live in Canada.

btw i got a sog flash 1 and an ontario sp1, I had to tell you

How was the knife from "yourcornerstore" shipped? I'm guessing UPS or FedEx?

I live in Canada and order from NewGraham all the time. There are never any added fees or duty when it gets here, because they ship using USPS.

It won't matter if they have a broker. It is you that has to have a broker when you are importing something. If you don't have one, then shipping companies use there own brokers and charge you the fees.

Always get US companies to use USPS. When it comes through the postal system, Canada Post does the Customs clearing and they charge a very low rate. The shipping companies charge much more.

alright thanks everyone, so Dekz if you siad with UPS you never get added fees then i should be good.
one question, how much is average shipping for you on folders for example?

Careful, it's easy to get them mixed up. UPS DOES have extra fees, USPS does not.

NewGraham has always shipped my stuff USPS so I doubt you'll even have to ask but maybe mention it when you order just to make sure. I usually end up paying around $9.00 shipping for the average folder.

oh okay, so thats pretty good shipping.
yes uSps, alright i gotta remember that.

And by the way, have you found any decent brand name knife stores in Canada?
and what province are you in?

I'm in BC. We have a store here in the mall called House of Knives. They have a decent selection and my location has really awesome staff, but their prices are almost double what I pay from NewGraham so I don't ever buy there.

oh yeah i hate that eh? they mark it up sooo much in Canada. I can barely find any knife stores in Ontario, I've heard of one that i'd have to take 4 buses to get to but you have to be 18 to just set foot inside the stoor and look around. btw im almost 17
