Need some good recommendations for a knife that is 200 dollar or less

Since I do not know your knife likes other then these 2, I am guessing you like small tough knives. If you like bigger, check Kizer too before making a decision. There are some real beauties for around the $200 mark.

well typically I don't buy smaller knives. That's not to say I don't have any in my collection (my BM sequel for example). But every now and again I do like a tough, compact knife made with quality materials such as these 2. As I said, I've been kicking myself for a while for not ever owning a PM2, and I figure I'll go with the model that features S35VN, and I like the look of that earth brown g10. Plus the FFG blade will fit my edc tasks perfectly

I will second the recommendations for the BM 940. However, I'd like to throw another knife in here, one that I have been unbelievably impressed with. That is the Spyderco Gayle Bradley 2. I think I paid around $140, it has good size, weight, stainless liners, carbon fiber handles, and CPM M4 steel. The fit and finish from the Taichung plant is impressive. I will absolutely buy another one soon so I can have a safe queen. I want to use this knife hard, but it's so pretty. I need a second GB2!

I see that you've decided to go with the PM2. You'll be happy with that one, especially in S35VN. I would also look at the S110V version if you're not afraid of the blurple G10 scales.

yeah the gayle Bradley 2 was one of spydercos' newer knives I was looking forward to. I'm a sucker for carbon fiber as well. But unfortunately I'll have to wait on that one. I feel ill be very happy with my brand new paramilitary 2. I just had to get that S35VN blade. I have some experience with S35VN from using my Large Sebenza 21, and it's a fantastic steel so I'm really pumped!
