Smoke and Prayers sent from Texas.

I hope she gets better and has a speedy recovery.

Smoke rising & positive thoughts sent from Penn's woods, JTR357... Sorry to hear about the complications, and I'm hoping that everything will come together towards a full recovery for Pat.

Pat's still in the hospital. She's been hospitalized the better part of 4mo.She's been home for 3 or 4 days at a time, then had to go back.Recently she was home for 10 days(the longest since March),& had to be taken away in an ambulance last Fri.She was so weak she couldn't make it down the stairs on her own & had to be carried.

She was severely dehydrated, her kidney's were failing,& the stoma(were the bag is connected) was infected & now she has an infection in her blood.EVERY dam complication that could have happened, happened.

I don't know if it's doctor/nurse negligence or just her bad immune system.I just looking to blame someone,I'm so pissed!Every time they sent her home, she'd wind up going back basically 'on death's door.'
I know what it is.The 'higher ups' of the insurance co. are saying this woman's costing us a fortune, get her the hell out of there.

Anyway,she's due for another surgery(3rd one),to reverse the colostomy(so she don't need a bag),this coming Monday,July 18th.
They have her on an antibiotic IV,& she's since been rehydrated & stable, but her blood pressure is irregular. It keeps spiking high, then dropping to real low.

I just got a call from Pat.She had excruciating pain coming from her lower back this morning. She was yelling & screaming, because it hurt so bad.A nurse came in & said "Why don't you shut up already?"
I know what sub I'm in here, but I feel like going over there & putting out a cigar in this b!tch's eyeball,& when she screams,I'll say "Why don't you shut up already,it's not that bad!".:mad::mad:
I told Pat to get her name.I want her reported & reprimanded.
The doctor(that came in 3 hours later!) said it was a muscle spasm.

That's it for now. We'd greatly appreciate it if you would keep us in your thoughts & prayers.

Thanks for letting me vent,

So very sorry for Pat.

I pray for her, you and for the doctors to fix her well.

You are a wonderful and loving husband. She is lucky to have you.

Love and prayers, -Spinner

Thanks so much for the kind words.I'm nothing special.I'm just doing what I have to.

Hey John. (We share the same first name) Here's lookin for the future. All is well, Pat is well, you are well. If I say well any more I'll be diggin a tunnel. Well *oh jezz* Just tryin for some happy grins. All my best for you. I'll be thinkin. Positive.! Enjoy. edgy.

Hope and prayers coming from Ky. I know how a long sickness can dry the souls of the people around them. Stay strong.

I'm not the religious sort but I certainly wish Pat all the best and that she makes a full and expeditious recovery.

Make sure to let her know that lots of people here are rooting for her to get better and for you to stay sharp and healthy during the healing process as well!

Pat's having surgery tomorrow(Thurs.8/5).This one is to put everything back to normal,so she doesn't need a bag or anything.
Hopefully everything works out & goes smoothly.

I'm really nervous about this one, considering all that she's been through.:(

If you have a moment tomorrow afternoon/evening,please say a prayer, send some smoke/positive energy,or think a good thought or two for my dear Pat & her surgeon.

Thanks, I really appreciate it.

A couple years ago my wife pretty much went through the same that your wife is going through (aside from not having a "bag"...although it came pretty close to that), and she has totally recovered, and so will your wife.

Here's a song for you...This is how I felt going through all that with MY wife:

Pat's still in my daily prayers John :)

Hope she makes a speedy recovery.

Hey John,

I somehow missed this thread early on. You have my prayers for your wife Pat. A buddy of mine in his early 20's had diverticulitis. He got it from sunflower seeds. He was humbled about food that he should or should not eat. Stay strong for your wife, you are a good man and husband. Keep care and God bless.

Chris
