I always worry about buying nice knives for non-knife people. They tend to use them like a $1 knife from walmart. My father would use my Junglas and beat it into the ground so I bought him a $12 machete. I would suggest finding a company that'll fix stupid people mistakes (broken tips/blades) for cheap or for free.

My brother never abuses my knives, he just doesnt carry one

I would have recommended a PT CQC7 but the TR is great too
