need tactical folder

smith and wesson S.W.A.T

cheap, china tactical

I have a kbar dozier, I like it, it helps me tactically remove the the dirt from underneath my fingernails and open my box of cereal in the morning, and sharpen pencils, not in that order. When things get hot and heavy though I put that away and go for the 2 foot length of pipe I keep dangling down my pant leg for those extreme tactical occurrences that do occur when you least expect them to.

Thanks I don't need an amazing tactical folder just one for if the needs arise and I don't have a big budget.

What you should ask is when the need arises do you have what it takes to use it?
ie: all in SD, potentially slash or stab your attacker, watch your steel part his skin and see his blood on your hand

Excuse me for being graphic but that is what always happens when you use a knife for SD unless you use your knife as an impact weapon

Buy a Victorinox Pioneer Swiss army knife.

It has the word 'army' in it, which means it's tactical. If it's not tactical enough for you, you can always spend the extra 10 bucks and spray paint it black.

I just saved him 10 bucks

Don't forget to carry some tactical toilet paper in case of tactical emergencies. I suggest urban camo color.

Spray the 2 by 4 with flat black paint and you'll have a tactical 2 by 4.
Kind of hard to stick a 2 by 4 in your pocket. Yes, I did consider carrying a tactical 2 by 4:D.

I did get kind of annoyed that 5.11 "tactical" pants and "tactical" boots I had ordered were named as such. I was merely looking for clothing a bit tougher and longer lasting than the crap they sell at Wallyworld, but apparently those traits alone demand that the product be classified as "tactical".

Still, I suppose the word "tactical" is spice for a linguist as it can make even utterly mundane and pedestrian activities sound all the more exciting.

For example, "I just made myself a tactical sandwich before taking a tactical shower and finally taking a tactical nap."

Linguists tend to not like overused, meaningless words like tactical. Tactical for what? Tactical tampons? Tactical motor oil? Tactical beer? Tactical sushi? Tactical toothbrush? It has no meaning but somehow this word embodies a depressingly effective marketing strategy to sell junk to people.

I think you should look into a tactical plunger... if you saw a guy walking around the city with a plunger in his hand, you wouldn't think "Hey, he should put that weapon away!" or "What would he need a weapon like that for?" But them BAM! tactical plunger to the face.

New poster. Probably has seen the big push in "tactical" knives........even the magazine is named "Tactical Knives". If new to the hobby he may not be aware of how BF member's feel about tactical knives. I suggested a Rat 1 folder, then a snide comment about it being tactical if you had tactics. But looking back I can understand how someone would ask for a tactical folder, and I'm afraid we may run off folks who have good intentions, but are not familiar with the lingo.

Just my opinion.:)

I hate to say it...spend a little more cash and buy it once! I would strongly look at the ZT 0350. It is an assisted opener that has thumb studs and flipper. It is S30V has a G10 grip that is shaped excellent, jimping for regular or reverse grip. It is built well and will last a lifetime! For tactical I love an assisted opener and the ZT with both the thumb stud and the flipper it is more than ideal. Blade length isnt to long but there are other T that are longer and offer the same design. ZT is 115 bucks for what your get it is a great buy. I love mine, it carries well, grip is ergonomic, and as I have said the flipper/thumbstud deployment with the assisted is simply awesome!

hmm, tactical beer. That might be worth the price....

Anyways, to the OP....

Just save yourself a LOT of problems, hastle, buying then frustrated reselling...and get used to the idea of spending decent money on good equipment. I'd recommend a Sypderco Delica that can be had for around $50 or so. And don't forget about a sharpening method? Like the Spyderco sharpmaker for around another $50. If you want the first reasonably priced "tactical" or hard use type blade, maybe look at an Emerson. I did carry a CRKT M16 flipper for a long time that worked great....but the blade steel wasn't my favorite.

Check out the Benchmade Pika II. Titanium or GFN Handles. 3.5" blade and it's only like $40. Which I understand is a bit higher than you are looking for. But dude, you can afford it.
Its a benchmade
