Need to know which folders have the THICKEST blades?

Thanks for the input! I like the ZT 0200, but as luck would have it, it seems to be discontinued? Guess I will have to keep an eye out for one here on the forum...

Thanks again for all your input!

Yup. I've edited my post to reflect that - forgot to put it in there.

The ZT-0200's show up occasionally. I have to assume that Kershaw will re-introduce them in the near future, maybe with new blade steel or some other minor change. I don't know why on earth they'd discontinue such an amazing blade.

Many of the Quartermaster folders are .19" (5mm) thick. For more traditional stuff, A.G. Russell's Texas Ranger is ~.187", and his Sunfish (not seeing it on the site atm, may be discontinued) is ~.230" thick.

A few of these i know because i was just in the market for a stout folder;

The ZT0550 and HTM Snap are 0.15" thick
As is the Böker Plus barlowe bullpup and Benchmade 810 Contego which is what I bought.

Benchmade Loco and Vicar is 0.16"
As is the Böker Plus vox F3
and kizer ki4450 ki4437

Buck/tops csarT is 0.18" thick

Then there are;
Brous Blade Statement and Medford Praetorian at 0.19"

Grind house FOK's and mini-FOK's are 0.21" thick

But for those prices you can probably find someone to make you a custom folder to your liking.

If you also like blades under 3" in length then the Spyderco Techno is easily my top recommendation...and after 3yrs ownership, still in my pocket more than any other EDC I own. Blade spine width is 4.5mm (0.177") however, and this is key, it takes an acute taper down to a very thin edge making this knife actually cut stuff...and cut very well, unlike many thick bladed folders. Premium materials, designer colab., and street's around $160 put this knife squarely on the Spyderco fan's "must have" list.

Grayman Satu under 4 bills and quite the heavy duty folder with a 1/4" thick blade. Ask me how I know. :D

Hi,
If you want a little shorter blade (2.90 in) and thick blade, look at the (discontinued; but still out there) Benchmade 755 MPR folder with a .164 thick blade.
Agree with an above poster; SOG's Tomcat folder first generation was 3.75 inches long with a .20 blade. The SOG Sogwinder II folder had a slightly different blade shape, but same blade dimensions, also. (Both long discontinued, but still can occasionally be found.)

What did you get?
Post some pics.

Reese Weiland... Fatty Slash is 3/8" at spine.

From left to right;
.29" Anthony Griffin Custom
.19" Crusader Forge T.A.D.
.26" Medford Knife and Tool Arktika
.25" Crusader Forge VIS Kiridashi
.375" Melvin Lozada Nasty Boy Bull

New these might not be in your price point but if you hunt around the secondary market you can definitely score. Melvin takes a marginal down payment which will give you time to save and he will make a BADA$$ custom just for you.
