Need to know which folders have the THICKEST blades?

Thanks Blizz!

That Mini-Raptor Bull is the bee's knee's! Guess I'm gonna have to spend more money now thanks to you! :)

Thanks for the heads-up!

From left to right;
.29" Anthony Griffin Custom
.19" Crusader Forge T.A.D.
.26" Medford Knife and Tool Arktika
.25" Crusader Forge VIS Kiridashi
.375" Melvin Lozada Nasty Boy Bull

New these might not be in your price point but if you hunt around the secondary market you can definitely score. Melvin takes a marginal down payment which will give you time to save and he will make a BADA$$ custom just for you.

^ Awesomeness in that pic. I'm carrying my Arktika today, really digging this thing.

The Arktika is such a beast, I really love mine. I really did not like the looks of it when I first saw it. It grew and grew on me and now I absolutely love the design. Thanks for sharing the pics; looks like you got mines TWIN :)

He's got some real gems and extremely well priced for customs! :)
I want to get a custom MINOTAUR sometime this year

A folder with a .375" thick blade? Now all my "thick" bladed folders seem skinny and weak. :(:D Nice collection.

I was once in the thick blades madness also. I even have a 1” thick knife in Caldie steel (fixed) and was about to comission a 3/8” thick friction folder to Tank knives. Problem is those beasts are grinded/machined from a solid block of steel, without attention to the grain direction, making it potentially weaker than thinner blades where attention to the grain direction of the steel was taking into account.

I don’t think at 3/8” thick on a folding knife you need to worry about grain direction causing catastrophic weakness lol

While not their thickest, the Cold Steel Colossus is sort of a modern take on the sunfish/elephant toe. The wide leaf shape blade is flat ground to the spine, giving it an effective slicing edge despite having a 3.75mm thick blade.

I would like to recommend ZT 0200 here because it has the thickest blades and you can measure it from here

This is a 3 year old thread and there's no way in hell I'm clicking on that link. Reported.

You’re sure right, just explaining that a super thick blade may not always be tougher than a less thick but with better grain orientation (and good heat treatment) blade.:)

Edited out post -

Sneaky bastard.. I didn’t check the date, haha.

Thicker is not better. But sure is cool as a collection knife, safe knife or art knife.

This one's gigantic
