Need your opinions

Is it reasonable to think that 110’s are put together by hand not robots? To me if they were perfect they would lose the hand made look and feel i get when i handle my Bucks.
Just an opinion

The thing is with thousands of knives going down the line every day it would be easy to miss some that weren’t like they should be for whatever reason. If no one reported or sent it back how are they going to know and then fix the problem on the assembly line and it ends there instead of continuing on for who knows how long? We know Bucks warranty and service are tops but if uninformed persons get hold of one and think Buck has shoddy knives and word spreads from them, it’s not good for anyone. If a Buck regular customer in the know wants to fix their own I don’t see anything wrong with that and I have fixed my own before. I still think it’s a good idea to inform Buck about it so they can address the problem sooner rather than learning about it way down the road with hundreds more out in there.

The inlay gap should absolutly not be there. The rocker gap is fairly normal as the rocker is designed thinner than the blade to allow it to move freely. But it should never be over .006"
Can you PM me Jordan's contact info, I want to talk with him about his stock.

Thanks,

Jeff

Thank you Mr Hubbard.

Without pins, only glue is holding it on. I would try to get a fingernail under the scale and pull it off. If it came off I would send it back. If not, I would use it until I have a bunch to send in for repair or spa treatment to save money on shipping. That is a cool knife by the way. I still plan on getting one regardless.

The 110 has been around for 50 plus years with over 15 million made. Sometimes things happen. Guys like Jeff H help make sure the minority of issues are taken care of. Great knife, get back to Jeff and he will correct the problem. That a a better bet than sending back to the retailer for an exchange.

Yes sir, I know Buck will see it through. Great American company with a great warranty. Thank you Makael!

Apparently this is the truth. DLT was not able to find me one with good fit and finish. I received a replacement 110 in black linen micarta, and the fit and finish on it is nice. Will be my new edc. If anyone has a nice 110 in OD Micarta from DLT and would like to do some trading shoot me a PM.

I have one of these and they were the worst finished knives I've received from Buck. The tech who assembled and finished these should be disciplined and retrained.

I shipped the green one back to DLT. Jordan couldn’t find one without issues. So I asked him to find me one in black linen as it’s replacement.

Thanks.

Had you sent it to buck they would have fxd it and you would have your green one back.
