Needing a new EDC, gentlemans folder type

I have an Al Mar Hawk with Black lip pearl and its a great knife. I also have a Spyderco Viele II and it looks great and has served me well. Some people think the opening hole is a bit small but it works for me. I dont have a Fallkniven u2 or Tre Kronor, but im seriously considering one. I also have a number of slip joints that i EDC, mostly Queen and Schatt & Morgan. You cant go wrong with a nice looking slip joint:cool: I guess those would be my recommendations. Hope you find what you're looking for!

the Almar Hawk ultralight.

Agreed!

Al Mar's are (obviously) not as popular as Spydercos,
but the Hawk's ideal for what you want.

Great fit & finish; elegant Micarta scales, made in Japan.

Ring, have you decided what knife you might be getting? There are a lot of wonderful suggestions, I was just wondering.

I second the Al Mar Hawk classic choice... it's indeed my gentleman knife

Mine has black lip pearl handle an it's just gorgeous.... when I was looking for a knife to be my gentleman´s, I checked a lot of option and ended up with this for many reasons:

- It´s little enough for carrying inside your pocket or even in your shirt pocket.
- It´s big enough for all those everyday little chores.
- It's very, very well made.... awsome fit and finish.
- It's not that expensive... if later you decide you don't like it, you wouldn´t regret for the expense.
- Sheeple friendly... in fact, people look at it and say something like: "Wow, its nice !"
- Black Lip Pearl it´s among, IMO, one of the handle materials with most "class".

I just love this knife... mine came from A.G. Russell knives:

Happy shopping.... !

It's hard to go wrong with the good ole Swiss Army Knife. The Cadet (or Cadet II) sounds like it will fit the bill nicely.

I just got a really nice gentleman's folder.
Benchmade 440
The picture on the Benchmade site doesn't do it justice. This knife is superb. I recommend it highly.
The blade is just a hair under 3" and is S30V steel. No pocket clip, which is nice for dress carry. It has beautiful wood onlays on the handle, and has a wood backspacer, which is really unique, and a nice touch. And, it's the smoothest liner lock knife I've ever used.
Check it out. Go to the store and hold one. I was instantly convinced as soon as i picked it up. It's in my pocket now. :D

Almost forgot... Chesapeake Knife And Tool is where I got it... They're having a sale on Benchmade products right now, so even though I got it in a store (instead of over the web) I paid $30 less than MSRP!!!
