Just received a set of Neil's creations. The American Ninja, and a really nice Neck Knife....... These will be used as my new daily carry.....

Neil was courteous, quick, and a pleasure to work with. I was undecided on the configuration, and he really helped me deciding on the scale material. I couldn't be more pleased. If you don't have one of his knives, you may want to take a look at his site and place an order!!! http://www.geocities.com/Eureka/Meeting/5520/index.html

I thought you would enjoy seeing a shot I took this afternoon of 'em!

Very nice, indeed. I’m really glad to hear that you like your "American Ninja"…I was impressed enough with that design to order one myself. Mine should be arriving soon, but for now I’ll just have to be content with drooling over the picture of your knives

(excellent pic, by the way). I’ve heard nothing but good things about Neil’s work and I’m eagerly awaiting a chance to see it first-hand. Thanks for showing us your latest acquisitions!

Max,
Even if you set up the background, lighting, knives and camera and all I had to do was push the button......The picture would not come out that good!! DAMN that's a nice shot!! Thant's it, I quit taking my own knife pics!!
I appreciate the compliments but I still owe you one for your Email that just about gave me a hart attack a few minutes ago

I will NEVER forget that one

Jim,
Yours is on the way. My full time job had me at safety meetings all week. This didn't help my knife shedule at all!

Must have been a great email. Any hints?
The Doctor is a great maker and a great guy to deal with. I LOVE my talonite neck knife. The new designs show neil is getting even better. I hope he remembers some of his old customers when he's waiting list starts to look like Moran's.

HI HJK,
So far the two Talonite knives I've made for myself have been sold. I CANNOT keep a Talonite knife. When I finally make another one, it will be exactly like yours only with blue G10 and white spacers.
Max's Email was titled "DISAPOINTED"! I saw that on my new mail list and my heart stopped! I will get even with him

I just got one of of Neil's neck knives too, and I absolutely love it. The handles are koa. I apologize that this photo is nowhere near as good as Maxon's:

Neil was an absolute pleasure to deal with, and I got my knife so fast that I was surprised when it arrived. The good Doctor will be at the top of my list the next time I get a fixed-blade craving.

Kevin - great neck knife. Neil told me about that one and I am glad to get to see it

Max, great taste in knives and awesome picture. Seems that at least two of us Hoosiers have like taste in our knives!

Neil - keep up the good work. You are a pleasure to work with/for.

I am proud to say that I have one of Neil's knives with 2 more on the way. Neil is one of my favourite knife makers and his knives a delight to have and use. A knifemaker whose star continues to rise.

Thank you, Neil and thank you Kevin Pensinger for making Neil's knives available.

Kevin S,
Thanks for posting that picture! As I mentioned, I've changed the style of those knives on models that don't get the cord wrap. That's the LAST one with a round butt and solid handle material.
Kevin P,
It's been great working with you too! Let me know when your comming to Fl!
Tom,
Damn, I forgot

you have Email!! I will get that stuff to you ASAP!! PROMISE!! Glad you reminded me!!!!!!!!
Harry,
I didn't realize those knives in the shedule were for you!! I thank you for your confidence in me as a knifemaker!! There is NO better sign that I'm doing things right than repeat customers!!

I'm being redundant, but everything said above is the solid truth. Neil's a ball to do business with, and his knives speak for themselves. 3 so far, and trying to decide what #4 will be. That Koa is sweeeeet! Safety meetings, huh Neil? They didn't cover motocross, did they?

Paul,
You kill me! I have been known to be the center of attention at our company safety meetings! This usually involves discussions on "horseplay in the workplace"!! Not broken bones and motorcycles!!
It has been a pleasure doing business with you. It would have been nice to meet you in Atlanta but you had more important matters to attend. I hope all is going well with your new venture!

I’d like to join in and add my name to the growing list of Mr. Blackwood’s satisfied customers. I just received my “American Ninja” and I’m extremely pleased…Neil’s’ work has exceeded all of my expectations. I’m not eloquent or experienced enough to write a critical review that would pass muster around here, so I’ll just pass on a few overall impressions and leave it at that. The fit and finish of the knife and sheath are first rate. The innovative design (coupled with Neil’s superb craftsmanship) makes this one of the most striking pieces that I own. I’m very impressed with the attention to detail on this knife…every feature of the rig is very well thought out. Also, I can’t say enough about how easy it is to work with Neil…he was very accommodating throughout the process, and was quite willing to take the time to answer all of my (stupid) questions. There are a lot of great knifemakers out there, but it’s always refreshing to deal with a maker who makes an extra effort to work with his customers. I’ll look forward to working with Neil again on some of my future custom projects…

Jim
