Nepal news from shop manager

just for interest, there was a hosting centre in texas that had a transformer blow, about 6000 web servers were thrown offline (inc. the one that hosts the forum where i am a moderator :( ) since sat. they have rigged some emergency power to most of them, but not all, and are proceeding with repairs. may have a direct or indirect effect on HI's site. our support forum is back on line, but the server that updates the software is not yet back. the unix servers the hosting co. uses to monitor & control the routers/firewalls/etc. were in the bit worst affected. apparently the xformers blew out three walls. HI's site is still out for me.
 
Weird, I have no trouble getting to Himalayan Imports, on either of my browsers. Maybe it's because I'm relatively close to Reno (???). Hope you guys get reconnected soon.
 
Freedom is a precious thing to lose. So, we must have patience and wish for the best for the people of Nepal.
