Nervous as hell about the war...

Glad to see the Aussies are back in support of the war - 2000 troops pledged as of 3/18/03. That may seem small to the ~250,000 already out, but from a country that opposes the war by a 70% majority, it's a surprising and (hopefully) welcome addition.

thats bull pendentive, i know thats what they say but its like most polls the biggest percentage of aussies dont bother to answer polls.
i would say 70% were for disarming terroerist countrys like iraq,
but boy i think it could be costly, but in the long run will be for the best .
imagine what will happen if terrorists are given weapons of mass destruction,??? millions dead not just thousands.

i am sad to say i suspect saddam has allready given these weapons to terrorist orginisations with instructions to use them in the event iraq is attacked.

i am saddened our world has come to this.
i hope its not to late to bring the world to its senses.
and wish nations like ours would have the balls to just step up and do whats neccesary, and carry on and disarm all rouge nations now straight after iraq. damn what the rest of the world thinks.
it has to be done now before it is to late.
if it is not to late allready.

if terrorist groups have these weapons allready it is probably to late.

so lets all say a prayer and stop to think in silence tomorrow when war is launched, and bless those who will die for our freedom and safety. regards kendo:(

They may wait a day or two past the deadline just to toy with Iraq, but they dont have much time. It is going to get real hot soon, and the sooner we get this over with the better off it will be.

My prayers go out to the men and their families on both sides of this conflict.

I'm really not worried about a "world wide jihad". As is the case in most of the world, the average Muslim is considerably more intelligent than the boneheads you see on CNN. Most will be(quietly), pleased to see the Iraqi people liberated.

The BBC has just broadcasted video of B-52s taking off. They are reportedly armed and on their way. ETA is around 8:00PM tonight after a long 2,500 mile flight. I guess they are delivering ALCMs.

As for the French:

I read the latest offer as an attempt to get French crews on the ground to help hide their complicity with Iraq's WMD program. They would be well positioned to pick up the evidence and loose it.

France has better get use to bad news; it is going to get alot worse before it gets better.

Hey Sarge or anyone for that matter, can you tell me the exact time and time zone for the deadline? A friend and I are talking about it right now and we can't remember.:o

Heber, that's 8 PM Eastern time here, and 3 AM in Baghdad, and as far as I know there'll be a full moon tonight, the redbuds are blooming, and the white bass ought to be biting good in the Colorado river. Sorry Heber, don't mean to be snooty, I just ain't fit company right now.

Heber, I do wish, but right now leaves are approved for local area only, and we just opened that up so our folks can spend time with their families "decompressing".
