Netflix "Lost in Space" knife?

I like the choice. The M16 hasn't really stood the test of time in terms of keeping up with the general growth in quality in the modern knife industry but it's a classic example of the whole "tactical" folding knife thing.

Though it does look a big for m16-02. Is there a black m16-04 with lawks? It is one of these two though because it has a fatter profile than the 3

best view of the knife I could find on short notice

Badass, I grabbed a couple of pics, but this one is really clear. So looking at it, that thumb stud doesn't look like a CRKT M16 style stud.

I thought it looked like an extreme ratio. But as you suggested it's most likely a crkt.

I'd never ever take a crkt to another planet.

Yeah I thought extrema ratio on first glance as well.

As for a knife? Well if it is JUST a knife and not a multi tool, then something like my CPK EDC (probably the D2 one I have, since Nathan's D2 is plenty tough, but it also has more value in a variety of tasks, since it will maintain a practical edge over long periods due to the toothy nature of D2). Otherwise, give me a multitool like the victorinox spirit x

Watched the series & there seemed to be one sort of generic tactical pocket knife, although a few people used it & one handgun which (of course) wound up in the hands of Dr Smith. Now they had some kind of 3d printer which is where the handgun came from. This was a collection of the planet's best & brightest crashing on a dangerous planet with hostile robots and vicious animals. Out of 15-20 people no one had the thought, "hey let's print up a dozen rifles or shotguns & some Bowie knives", & maybe give ourselves a 1/2 of a chance of surviving. The other thing that bothered me was they were on these advanced space ships that were highly computerized. In such an environment it would make sense to treat it as a "clean room" and yet everyone had lots of hair. The women had long hair, fake eye lashes & many of the men had beards. With all the computers you'd think everyone would have crew cuts to avoid a hair falling into some delicate part of the machinery. Somehow should we ever make a expedition to the farthest part of the Universe, I don't think it will be much like this.

Don't they have a drop/spear point of the M16? It could be that. The flat section on the end of the handle and hole in the flipper tab correlate.

They do, it is called the m21.

I believe one of these two is the culprit, depending on whether or not it has the double guard. If you look at the picture in post #13 you can even see the slight recurve.

It's neither of these. it's the tanto. There's no way this bulging spear point is the blade in the screen capture.

That’s definitely possible. Though it is hard for me to tell from that angle.

You can’t tell from the pic since she had already begun to stick it to the eel, but it is indeed a tanto. I couldn’t quite time the pic to before she sticks it in. It goes by fairly quick

So then it must be some variant of the crkt m16.

There are a lot more plot holes than just the ones you mentioned. The show was pretty good but if they don’t plug some of those holes than I’m going to abandon ship. The artificial count downs in particular.

The knife is a crkt or a crkt knock off? How is this still up for debate? LOL

Something that argues the knife being a knock off or a wooden or plastic knife from the props department is that no one from CRKT or anywhere else has taken credit for it, & issued a limited edition of 1000 Lost in Space knives. I wouldn't buy one, but there us a market for them. The knife used in the last Rambo film was a very crude piece of steel & they sold at least 1000 of them for over $500+@ & they were from United Cutlery! I'd think that there are at least a thousand adolescents out there that would storm Amazon to buy a "Official LIS Knife" for $75 or so.
The reason I mention it being made of wood or plastic is that they might save 1% on insurance by not using a live blade.

The only thing that bothers me about the show is Dr. Smith. I don’t know how anyone can be so consistently evil. Literally every single second Dr. Smith is on screen, its nothing good.
